i have no problem with a negotiating committee that we voted for. there lies the problem the iam will never agree to arbitration so they veto that idea right off the bat.i dont recall voting to have the iam decide my fate. so what is the plan to wait until an impasse is declared then just accept whats imposed? if you have other plans you might want to give them a second thought. or is it to just keep saying no, well because you folks can afford to wait? i mean you hold all the cards and have all the benefits we are just the dog being wagged by the tail......

If we go to a peb, you don’t have to accept what is offered. The membership will have a say and can then vote. Your angry I know from never getting to vote on the association. I get that. I have said on here before. I think everyone should have got to vote. Especially if you are twu and you had the majority. But it didn’t happen that way. I can’t help that. So you can sit and sulk forever, or we can move forward and do the best we can. Not saying you shouldn’t sit and sulk. If I were in your shoes, I might do the same thing. But I do know, that’s not going to accomplish anything. So are we going to use that forever as a reason to do nothing? That’s the question that needs to be asked.
Again, not trying to be a smartass, I probably and might feel the same way if I was you. I’m not trying to defend the no vote. But I am saying, that’s done. Let’s move forward.

VOTE??? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You KNOW we will have no say in any PEB or arbitration. We will be lucky to even vote on any potential JCBA. VOTE??? BWHAHAHAHAHAHA......................

arbitration, peb does it matter? how long can we drag it out till the inevitable occurs? i can assure you the resentment runs deep and gets deeper the longer this **** show goes on.

Yep, the resentment DOES run very deep. We will not forget.

Laugh all you want if you think that’s funny.
I’m telling you, that you will vote if it goes to a peb. We won’t just accept what the peb decides. It more than likely won’t be in our favor. Why do you think the company is pushing to get there?? I can assure you, it’s not because they feel that it would go our way.

Oh believe me I find NOTHING funny in any of this!!!! Anytime we see any of you union big wigs tell us we will vote we question that. The infamous "question 5, Will we vote on the association" will be a stain on the TWU for the rest of our careers. NO, there is nothing funny about any of this.

So are we going to use that forever as a reason to do nothing? excuse me but we on our side of the fence have been doing a lot. other then the protest in clt what has the iam accomplished? has the iam shown up to the sota party every year? has the iam backed any of the twu initiatives? i dont recall seeing very many signatures from the iam on the documents. in fact the iam writes the updates but has a hard time putting names to it. please explain other then forgive and forget what the iam is contributing to the effort? angry? yes very. and every holiday and sick day you get dragging this out pisses me off more. what you fail to understand is that you are hindering our lively hood.

Like I said to Dfwgen. If I was twu. I would probably feel the same. But again, you will vote on a peb decision.
And yes you can call me a bigwig if you want. But I spent 33 years on the ramp. So I know where I came from.

i would like to believe you on this, but i have heard that promise before. in fact we have it in writing would you like a copy?

There will not be a vote

again i have heard that line before, would you like a copy of it in writing? we generally use it to wipe our ass with its that useful. no pun really intended. unfortunately words from the leadership mean very little these days, pick which leadership to listen to its all just noise.

the bottom line is those on the bottom are getting fucked on a daily basis. and WE ARE AT THE BOTTOM BEING **** ON BY ALL PARTIES.

NO!!! And that’s what pisses me off. Why is it the IAM is hindering your lively hood and not the company?? The IAM is trying to improve your livelihood. Wonder who you would blame if what’s on the table today gets rid of thousands of your jobs. Would you blame yourself for voting yes? Just so you can get your extra holidays and sick days?
I’m sure you wouldn’t. Nor would you blame the company! You would blame the association. I’ve been through 2 bankruptcies in my time. And I can assure you, I would never had expected another group to give up things they had just to get me more sick days and holidays. Unbelievable how the union is to blame here, and not the company.
