Let’s talk Wages today for Fleet.

The Company put out a calculator yesterday where you can input your information and it will tell you how much of a raise they are offering. Well I put in my information and it came back that at TOS (Top of Scale) my offered raise was $1.16 per hour.

What was promised?

Well to start off Doug Parker promised 7% above the TOS out there. Then he brought that down to 3%.

So where are we today?

Well currently TOS out there is UAL at $31.23

3% above $31.23 is $32.17
7% above $31.23 is $33.42

But the Company now seems to be offering only $31.97 on date of signing?

Maybe it’s me and my Math skills just aren’t very good? Can someone tell me what happened to the 3% or 7% promise?
Disappeared

Disappeared
No it didnt disappear. The company lowered the base wage to front the $3,000 medical grab for lus.

That said, weez has actually been right about a couple things lately and i give him points for bringing this out.

The company is 100% wrong on a couple things they say they are right about.

At any rate, its an incredible offer and you will have a great job for life if we lived under that offer.

PDGC OF IAM DISTRICT 141 MICHAEL KLEMM RESPONSE TO NPP & UNITED
27 Apr 2019

The IAMAW and IAM District 141 are separate entities than the IAM National Pension Plan (NPP), even though both bear the “IAM” acronym. For those DL 141 IAM represented employees in the NPP, a letter was sent to your homes by the NPP. If you haven’t already received the letter, you will soon. The letter outlines changes that the NPP’s Board of Trustees have decided are necessary to maintain the long term stability of the NPP. IAM District 141 received the information contained in the letter on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Unfortunately, United Airlines attempted to blame District 141 today for the NPP dropping the ball in communicating these changes and stated: “we [United Airlines] were not informed by the IAM in advance.” The NPP, of which United Airlines management has a representative on the NPP Board of Trustees, David Lieb, failed to inform United Airlines in advance. The NPP also failed to inform the IAM’s largest district, IAM District 141, a district with the most active NPP participants, in advance. United’s weak attempt to shift blame and the NPP’s botched rollout of the modifications to our pension plan are BOTH completely unacceptable.

While the NPP remains well funded at 89%, in 2019, it has been certified in the Yellow Zone. The major reason for this is that the liabilities of the plan outweigh the assets, in the long term, and the NPP’s Board of Trustees decided changes are needed to fix this unsustainable condition. Because of this, the Board of Trustees have voluntarily reclassified the plan to be in the Red Zone, so that the Trustees can make changes to ensure the long term stability of the plan, per federal law.

It is not IAM District 141’s responsibility to notify United Airlines of modifications to the NPP. That responsibility falls squarely on the NPP, and more specifically United’s Board of Trustees representative, David Lieb. After all, Mr. Lieb had to approve of the changes to the NPP.

You can be assured that District 141 will do everything in its power to make sure all IAM represented NPP participants receive all the information there is pertaining this matter.

There is a lot of complex information included in the NPP mailings. There is a toll free telephone number 1-866-232-1296and a website www.IAMBF😵rg set up to give everyone more information.

It’s really sad to see the defeatist attitude of ALL the TWU members here except Weaasles

The enemy is not the IAM, it’s the company, many of you have lost sight of this.

The IAM Members didn’t complain about not getting equity money, nor the billions that AA has to pay into your frozen pension. And the IAM still has numerous mechanics on lay-off that would love to comeback if TWU scope is gained. We lost the backshops in bankruptcy and they sit empty on the second and third floor of the CLT Base Maintenance Hangar. We actually gained scope after the second bankruptcy as the company had the unlimited right to outsource base.

You all need to start using logic instead of emotions

The IAM didn't complain? That equity money deal was done in exchange for the screwing we took, and continued to take. So, thanks for not complaining. Mighty big of you. Lol Billions into our frozen pensions? Tell us now, did the company stop making contributions to your pension?

Nobody wants to see anybody get screwed, but you got some gall coming on here and playing the victim card.
The IAM folks currently receive twice as many holidays as the TWU folks, and at double time vs time and a half.
The IAM folks bank 10 sick days per year vs the TWU receiving only 5. LAA AMTs are still getting only half pay for the first day.
The IAM folks save around $400.00 per month in health insurance deductons on paycheck to cover a family
Now, as a added kick in the nuts for the TWU, the company wants to offer a meager $3000.00 signing bonus?
It may be a bonus for the IAM side cause they are already on "Workbrain" for payroll; unfortunately, the TWU side would go almost a month without a paycheck as they wait for their pay periods to sync up with the IAM side. So, the $3K is more of a bridge payment.

So, please spare us your guilt trip BS.

Just curious if they do post the full text language would concede that we’ve been lied too by the association?
Doesn’t really matter if they present a full text proposal. The ASSociation said they will not being back any proposal that is concessionary.

Ok but if the Company’s proposals are so great and they put them out in FULL don’t you think that the pressure on the TWU and IAM would grow so large that they would basically have no other choice but to release them out for our decisions?

Defeatist attitude? Its hard to be positive when the first two years the oam leadership decided to sit on the sidelines while we were getting screwed. The FIRST HOLIDAY we got fucked the iam should have stepped right on and joined us in protesting it. Its only when it became clear the company wants to **** the iam NOW its a joint fight. Again i hope they declare an impasse and impose a contract. Then and only then will we be equal and the association can possibly function the way it was sold to us.

Could not have said it any better myself

Here lies the problem. What the company thinks is great, the union doesn’t. And vice versa.
The other problem I have is that if the union is going to keep telling us the devil is in the details, how do they know this if there is no proposal? Let us see the details or does the union does not trust its members?

The Devil is in the details through the Company’s own verbal dialogue. Items that they seem to either personally omit or brush off concerns on.

Metal right now on Jetnet people are calling on the Company to show us their proposals since they have claimed they have offered them.

Those calls are falling on deaf ears.

You blew your load way too early, that wasn’t the time to protest. The time is now, and sad to say your protests accomplished NOTHING. You don’t know this management, we do and tried to tell you. 21 TULE protesting is sad. No one from the ATD showed up but IAM General Chairman and member of the Negotiating Committee Sean Ryan showed.

Yep keep blaming the IAM for all your problems, you play right into Parker, Isom and Glass’ game.
Way to early? Hey **** you. Tell you what when we are all equal we can blow our load together. Oh wait you dont even work for uscare air anymore. Its not the members its the iam leadership that blew it.the time is now because the iam leadership over played its hand.

Showed up "In the still of the night"...I like that song. Finally, getting some "Newbies" to break these boring conversations. 🙄

Ok. so if the company puts out a full text proposal, should the ASSociation let us vote on it? or let us just peruse it and ignore the will of the mebership? We should demand a full text proposal I agree. if it is as bad as the union says it is, then the membership will vote it down
