face it the iam is screwed they waited to long to join the fight. their decision to sit on the sidelines fat dumb and happy because its not the right time bit them in the ass. they cut a deal with the devil to make the take over happen and the devil fucked them. if they would have came out of the gate showing some any type of empathy for our plight their would have been a chance at unity. they blew it. they felt secure in their position and they fucked themselves. sorry i dont have much sympathy. the iam's leadership decision was poor,misguided and self serving now they have to face the consequences. just curious what moron on the iam side decided to come out with that memo on the solubility of their pension in the middle of negotiations? geez if anything turned us against them..... the company saw blood in the water and went in for the kill.

The IAMNPF trustees have to release those notifications by Law. Just as much as if the Company wants to get out of the IAMNPF they have to deal with that same board of trustees who manage the fund and live up to the Legal commitment they signed many years ago when they joined the plan.

The other items are debatable. Maybe we came out swinging too early? I remember some IAM guys on here were saying that.
 
We've never gotten retro on the LUS side. The company and unions did manage to pull off a pay cut that was retroactive a few weeks back. Actually cut our wages, and took out of our future checks to make up the difference. This was going back long before Parker and crew were in the house. I for one, don't think that we will get squat this time either. I'm still looking for the company to address the outsourcing of Catering on the LUS side, without offering Cargo like the LAA side has to level the playing field.


Our Contracts have become amendable and retro becomes the expectation if not demand.
 
The IAM guys are missing all that pay as well which is also a whole hell of a lot of Dues income being lost to the IAM Grand Lodge.

Might be more to what the IAM has a problem with than just that Medical and the IAMNPF.

its not about the money, well not ALL ABOUT the money, id be lying if i said it wasnt. its about being conned by the iam leadership from the beginning. the took advantage of the twu leadership in a weak moment (little and co) and rode that horse into the ground. they felt secure enough and felt a little pay back was necessary for the nerve of local 591 suing to break up their little scheme. causing the first six months of grab ass. the deal the made with parker their contract to get their cooperation in the take over back fired, because parker fucked em. no their arrogance put us in this position today. personally i hope an impasse is declared the company imposes their offer, them and only then will we be equal. then i can sit back and say ok iam what now? feel free to take the lead

yes the were. showing a CLEAR DIVISION in the association. company played it beautifully, we couldnt have walked into it chin first if we tried.

isnt unionism trying to better everyones's lot, even your associate members? regardless of opinions?

Little is long gone and I finally heard on Wednesday that someone saw him. Otherwise he’s become a Ghost.

BTW don’t kid yourself. I want more money just as much as the next guy. Just not going to grovel to these Company Pigs to get it.

It’s supposed to be of course. That does to a degree also mean those that just got in and are coming along next.

We don’t have to make it easy for the unborn but we do have to give them some room to come out of the womb too.

you are correct little is gone. the point of the post is that the iam forced/coerced/made the deal and then forced us to stick to it. not much compassion and or sense of righteousness and or honesty there. and then they sat back on their laurels feeling very secure in their position. i have been saying this for years. all i can do now is say i told you so.

Gotta start my drive home now. Just changed into my sandals and the feet are feeling good.

i dont disagree with that at all. i understand and agree with the concept of moving up in seniority. again you twist the post. the point of the post is the first two years the iam just sitting on the sidelines.

The Association from what Ive heard is not backing off our demands. The company never made an official offer. Just bullet points to which they made "enhanced" but in reality nothing much. They do not want to replace anyone who retires quits or gets sh!tcanned . They demand we take concessionaries . Well the he!! with that. Every dam week there is new mgmt at least at DCA n thats a total waste of money. Company wants to take away. Goes to shpw how shellfish n greedy they are

I believe you heard wrong they’ve stated today at the sota that they will post the full text proposal on jetnet. So I believe we have been lied to all this time by the Association

the union has been lying about most everything. Baskett is lying about bagroom and bag running being gone. Peterson finally admitted that baskett was lying about not getting a comprehensive offer.
