I just wonder if Tim is jealous, since 700 carries more clout in these forums than he. Hell, the very mention of 700 rattles and shakes this forum to the core.
What's up with this infatuation?

After all... megalomaniacs and narcissist to do not like to be upstaged!

Oh please, 700 was a clown, sorta like you!

What? 700, clout? C'mon man. He's been sent packing several times. He don't carry chit. He has absolutely "0" credibility out here as does some and most his little followers and buddies.

No disrespect sir .Just threw lil sarcasm there. I figured w ya went 6 to 7 yrs we are at i believe 5 or 6 now im thinking a threat of strike or strike vote or even far fetched. Vote of no confidence in dp n gangsters . But only time will tell
Our vote of no confidence seemed to work for us. It did bring in a new nego cmte after certain individuals were promising GK that the first offer would pass flying colors. And that overwhelming NO vote cemented the vote of no confidence AMFA did with certain leaders. Pretty sure we will see some changes, but the co. will wait a bit so not to make the AMFA look correct on that issue.
Wow, you guys are at 5-6 years now? I thought it was closer to 4-5, but what do I know?? Hope you all see some movement this next week. Good luck to ya robbed...

They didn't seem to do very much for the TWA guys.

Maybe because they did not go through two bankruptcies like LUS.

As the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978 led to a wave of airline failures, start-ups, and takeovers in the United States, TWA was spun off from its holding company in 1984. Carl Icahn acquired control of TWA and took the company private in a leveraged buyout in 1988. TWA became saddled with debt, sold its London routes, underwent Chapter 11restructuring in 1992 and 1995, and was further stressed by the explosion of TWA Flight 800 in 1996.

In 2001, TWA filed for a third and final bankruptcy and was acquired by American Airlines. American laid off many former TWA employees in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks and closed its St. Louis hub in 2003.[7]

TWA's bankruptcy appeared to be a chastening experience for Icahn, the former corporate raider turned manager. "I've lost on TWA," Icahn told a news conference in New York yesterday. "It has been the worst investment I've made in the last decade."

Icahn said he expects TWA to emerge from bankruptcy in about six months to compete as a low-cost carrier against other major airlines. But airline industry analysts were more pessimistic about TWA's long-term chances for survival.

Kevin Murphy, an airline industry analyst with Morgan Stanley Corp., said TWA doesn't have the critical mass to survive in an industry dominated by such giants as American, United and Delta unless it merges with another carrier. "The odds so far are that those who go into bankruptcy liquidate, so he does have his work cut out for him," Murphy said of Icahn.

Negotiations between the TWU/IAM Association and American Airlines for “Joint” Collective Bargaining Agreements formally began in December of 2015. (3 Years and 4 Months ago)

Our separate Collective Bargaining Agreements for the TWU and IAM Represented Groups became amendable September of 2018. (7 Months ago)

All TOS Association Members received wage adjustments averaging a 24% increase in October of 2016. (2 years and 6 Months ago)

We received a last 2.1 percent raise September of 2017. (1 year and 7 Months ago)

All of that information can be found within this Link.

Thanks for the history lesson, WeAAz. Even after TWA's bankruptcies, the IAM did not get cornholed like the LUS/IAM crowd did.
So my post said LIKE LUS' bankruptcies.
And it was only after the AA buyout of TWA decimation occurred.
Remember MCI?

I’ve never met one person in any Union at any Major Airline in the USA (Absent SWA Employees) who has been around since Airline Deregulation and the subsequent terror attacks on 9/11/2001 and the Global Economic collapse that eventually followed who wasn’t “cornholed”

Some Airline Employees made out better than others depending on which musical chair they were sitting in. (Eastern, Pan Am and Braniff being the worst obviously)

You know who made out pretty good? The NWA mechs who scabbed and got picked up by DL.

I guess you could see it that way. But first they wound up scabbing people that they probably used to called their friends.

Can people really do something like that and not let it bother them at all?
