and standing up for the voice of the masses. It isnt that these negotiations arent going to end pretty, but rather they wont end at all.

Ask your inside people. You can read the facts right out of Jetnet. There are deals being made unbeknownst to the masses and this is proof of it.

WRONG! Corporate lobbyist have spent billions over the same last few decades to erode labor friendly legislation. -- Legislation that makes organizing and retention more difficult for unions. Look no further than right to work state laws, and the proposed National Right to Work legislation... https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/785

Ironically, the highlighted portion of your post above, is a direct sound bite from the same corporate lobbyist

It seems to be lost to many on this site......in the end, it boils down to TWO parties, company vs bargaining agent!
IAM, nor TWU, are negotiating against the company or each other.
Wish folks on here could concentrate on the prize and fight the TRUE enemy, management!

The anti-union folks here (Trolls) will ALWAYS pit union, against union... the company is incidental, and an innocent bystander!

They want to spread the propaganda of the same lobbyist that want to kill organized labor.
They want to make as many readers as possible here believe the unions are at fault!

... and for the most part, labor (collectively) has stood by and let it happen...

More than likely, as in our case, it will come when the co. is ready and willing to come to an agreement.

No disrespect robbed, but that means nothing. Just by having NMB involved with mediations slows down the process. This is why our co. as well as yours has suggested mediation in the first place, to drag things out without the co. getting the blame. They will always say it is up to the mediator when we meet.
Perfect example: Look back before mediation with NMB. The union and co. was meeting 2-4 weeks a month in some cases, and all week. Now you guys are meeting about 3 days each week but now only twice per month. Also as in our case.
Another thing the mediator will do is, if the two sides are at a stalemate (which it sounds as if you guys are currently) and with no future dates already set, they may very well put you guys on ice for months like they did us. Our mediator said, "you guys are now on ice until one of the two sides decide to move." I see this might happen in next weeks nego's if still no movement.

The company is not an innocent bystander. The problem is that corporate greed has infiltrated the AFLCIO unions insomuch that they are now corporate and operate like a business. They have sided with management and are management. Hiking monster salaries and asking members to pay for their free spending, looting of pensions, expensive wine, etc. Workers aren't anybody's fool so organizing gets a lot more difficult when the unions are rotten to the core and corporate. There is a reason why 35,000 Delta workers haven't had enough support to get an election, and it has everything to do with an awful IAM pension, dumb organizing directors, and a union that is a long way from home.
