Nic won't be in the contract-- it is illegal. Your gypsie lawyer is wrong, like he has been at UAL, ACA and even before the APA fired him. One day you may figure this out.
The fact Theur left as VIce PResident of USAPA is telling. There is little hope of your misaligned effort from passing because some East pilots have a little bit of common sense- they don't by into your fiction about selectively changing seniority after it has already been determined. Dream what you wish, reality again will deal you a surprise like it has so many times before during your career at USAir. Your misfortune is not a ticket to my seniority. Nicolau supported this concept by using the guidelines from our mutual association. It is a little late for regret, my friend.
Regarding USAPA, understand the Phoenix road show was just a taste of what lays ahead. The America West pilots have the determination to keep people like Bradford right where he belongs: in the right seat. It is unfortunate Theur (or whatver that guys name is that just gave up on USAPA and quit the VP job) was junior to me. Oh well. Eventually we will see a lot more attrition on the east which will make you guys increasingly less relevant with your claim on majority rule.

Yawn...another continuous-loop snippett from the author of "Ho Ho Ho!, St Nic is coming to town!"..and countless pathetic variations on the AWA/Alpo Uber Alles theme.....sigh. Ah well..after the group likes of "You won't even get 200 cards!"/etc, ad nauseum....what can anyone otherwise expect?

I am somewhat surprised though, given that it's Prechilled's assertion that USAPA won't even get half the east pilot vote, and that the entire issue should reasonably now be moot...but; such pretended faith would apparently prove problematic for the continued issuance of Alpoid "threatening" drivel...

"understand the Phoenix road show was just a taste of what lays ahead." Swell...but some better material might prove advantageous for your group. "Treat us like professhunuhls..we're not F---kin' Stooopid" could possibly be improved on somewhat...just a thought. There's no shortage of animosity to go around, and it will little serve our collective interests in the future.

The election's almost finished. Let's talk afterwards, and see what we can collectively work out. Should the west insist on it's threatened "All-Out Warfare"...so be it. Little sleep's being lost out east over the prospect.

"Dream what you wish, reality again will deal you a surprise"

There is quite a bit you do not understand. THat is ok, after the 17th you will learn more. Your job will probably revolve around LOA93 for quite a while. If USAir picks up more widebodies, we will have the opportunity to fly them. Our section 6 negotiations will continue without the east.
Have a nice evening.
Well prechilill... time will tell... and after the 17th... time will tell that as well... Wide body flying... like you can have any say as to where those airframes will go?... Good luck in your delusional self... LOA 93... we've been there and continued to live it... do you think it stirikes fear into the heart of the East pilot?... it might be a rude awakening for you if you don't wise up....

Probably nothing. We have no reason to help you or your kind in improving your quality of life. I kind of revel in the fact you work for peanuts and will continue to do so for a long time. But I admit that is just petty emotion taking over- you should know a lot about that. The compassion I had for you and your group left a while ago. There really isn't ever going to be a happy tomorrow in our future- with or without USAPA. You guys really do not understand the consequences of your own actions. Of course, you never take responsibility for your own decisions or hold your elected representatives accountable until long after the fact. THen you whine and cry later. So be it.
April 17 is just the beginning of a new, drawn out fight. The west will be unencumbered by ALPA. We have a couple of law firms standing by to represent our interests against USAPA. These are high- quality firms too, certainly not lthe low level gypsie USAPA retained. At least the west has an arbitrated agreement and the law on our side, as well as better pay and much better schedules to endure. We now have a 330 LOA and will probably get a little raise with section 6 too.
THe economy is falling into the abyss, commodities are skyrocketing and credit is evaporating. Airlines are folding left and right and the bigger ones are merging. Maybe Theur quit because he saw what some of you cannot: your career is a dead end.
Peace.

Thanks...While airline flying's hardly the limits of my income stream....I've rarely seen Alpoid "United Alpa Pilots"/"Fellow Pilots"..." I look forward to the day we are all marching in step as a unified group." noble ideals better exemplified.

"Peace." I've long favored that over conflict.....but that's your group's call to make.

I wish you knew what you were talking about. Theuer hasn't gone anywhere. As for Thorpe leaving, he was given an ultimatum for a job which he had last year. I am just glad he stayed as long as he did. If it was me, I would have been gone yesterday. So how telling is it? Can't wait to hear your spin on that. "Guidelines" again. Thank you for clarifying our associations merger policy. That is why we are where we are. Finally, I don't regret anything over seeing ALPA removed from here.

If PHX is what you got, good luck, you will need it. The only thing you proved is you're not much of a moderator. Plus by the time our attrition catches up to you, it will be long after I'm gone. So I will be happy just setting the stage for a real union to pass down to those that come after me.

The east pilots are pretty cocky, thinking that a USAPA win is in the bag. Yeah, it's a sure thing, just like the arbitrator's decision that couldn't possibly rule againt the DOH/LOS argument. The same ten or so guys just post endless dribble on here, trying to convince everyone that USAPA is everyone's saviour, and that they will be victorious. Get real, and don't be too surprised if less than 50% agree with you.

Just wondering any one know who the reps will be in PHX and LAS. (If USAPA wins)

Your emotional USAPA endeavor just became irrelevant:

UAL and CAL will probably announce tonight.
US will probably be pieced out

Nicolau protects what we broght to the merger. You are trying to steal our seniority from us. Without Parker USAir was going to be liquidated- remember that...

“It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to the Nicolau list or ALPA or Hawaii routes or antipathy to east pilots who are more experienced than they are, or anti-USAPA sentiment or anti-date of hire sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.â€￾

Good luck in any future merger-ville over there at UAL....
Thanks. But we won't need luck. Did you happen to read the news tonight? Here's the link.

Note the part that says, "Pilots unions at United and Continental have also held merger-related discussions, and merging those two work forces is not likely to be as major a hurdle as it has been with Delta and Northwest, the two sources said."

UA and CO have had this worked out for some time now. There will be no arbitration and no messy seniority fight.

Sorry, but you will have to suffer through your misery alone. No one plans to follow in the footsteps of US/AWA. That is a mess of your own making. Enjoy!

"With so many issues to sort out, Delta and Northwest could be better off creating a holding company to operate two separate airlines, until such time as it made sense to complete a full-fledged merger.

Working together, the two airlines could share aircraft and boost revenue by taking advantage of their complementary route networks, argues airline consultant Bob Mann.

In the domestic market, the regional jets of 75 seats that Delta uses in its Comair unit could efficiently replace Northwest's 100-seat DC-9s. "If they are able to generate more revenue on those routes, Northwest wouldn't need to cut capacity as much," which would also add revenue, Mann said. Delta, which has contracts with other regional carriers, could also contract with other airlines to replace DC-9s at Northwest, Mann said."

In short, a Delta management/pilot strategy to attack the Achille's heal of ALPA's weakness.....THE WHIPSAW OF THE PILOT GROUPS THROUGH SEPARATE OPERATIONS WITH DISPARATE SENIORITY! Delta pilots "tactical behavior with the waiver of scope, a promise of the MOON and allowing regionals AND mainline carriers to PEACEFULLY co-exist under one banner will prove to ultimately be a Stategic behavioral blunder for any unified pilot group under the "New Delta"...., the Delta pilots just made a backroom deal!

Gee, I wonder where they got THAT idea???
(hint....can you say ALPA US Airways MEC? Separate but equal? NOT!)

Wanna BET?

I wouldn't "believe" everything you read....the proof is in the pudding. I think there will be more complications with the two groups (UA/CO) than you think. YOU are naive. But hey, it depends on your "sources". If it's what all the other sources are like I have a bridge to sell you.....better get ready for the new "whipsaw" courtesy of ALPA.

You know, the one who says "if one pilot has a problem, we all (pilots) have a problem?" That is an UNDERSTATEMENT!

You don't have the votes. Friday morning you will wake up and still have ALPA as your collective bargaining agent. Look at it this way, though: When LCC finally liquidates in a year or two, at least you'll get free career help as you venture off to the unemployment line!

Allright. allright. Does anyone on this board know how to best find out the election results? Where do we login at 1430 EDT to find out what the election results were?
