From personal observation, the West guys and gals are outstanding aviators and they, at least until 1400 today, aren't bitter employees like most of the regular malcontents from the East
I know at LEAST one flight attendant trying to go to ONT that would strongly DISAGREE with you!

Spoken like a Former PSA pilot who's company was bleeding red ink and was given date of hire and welcomed by usair pilots. You want a west coast base, you'll have it all.

The heck with everyone else, you got yours. You are the example of alpa's problem. Looking forward to having a trip with you before the liquidation.

Oh now we're going to have the "US Air saved PSA" diatribe? Believe me, I would have been happier for the last 20 years (Merger Date 4-9-88) jerking the gear for my friends at PSA while driving to work.

Maybe when we merge with United I'll be based in LAX, flying F/O on a 737, but no matter who wins today, PHX/LAS won't happen before I retire.

Best of luck to you. Hope it all works out the way you want it to Nostro.

I'll always miss PSA myself, but I've met many very fine people out east in the last 20 years as well. I'm just hoping that this dysfunctional mess we're all in can be changed into something actually workable for all concerned.

If USAPA wins the West will probably activate our CIRP just like the Easties did last May.

Oops, if USAPA wins there won't be a CIRP. Oh well.

"As the technology evolves and planes continually "get smarter"...the people within them can be "dumbed down" with less adversarial effects...case in point..." "...The once great Profession is nowadays clearly deteriorating towards the lowest common denominators....(I are a pylut...see!?..I bought a license!)..."

Sure I can't go buy a new Cadillac with my first paycheck.

Sure would be nice to buy a new Cadillac though!

You know what's really depressing?

Let alone buying a new Cadillac, today's airline pilot probably can't afford to buy that same 1979 Cadillac that a pilot in that day could buy new.

Saying that you guys had "a lottery ticket you can't cash" pretty much sounds like that to me, too. If that's NOT what they meant, I wonder what it was?

Calling someone a "liar" pretty much constitutes a personal attack, I would think.

So what you are saying is we can expect fewer fatal crashes by the east...

No one ever knows the future. Only the most ignorant, arrogant, and utterly pretentious, complete fools can ever imagine themselves to be "invincible". It's fully probable that you've never had the occasion to have any reasons for proper concern about your potentially imminent extinction aloft, and commercial aviation, very thankfully, generally does not provide such, and one might fly an entire career without even coming close....or not. I'd suggest that you find some time to become part of an accident investigation team, with all the fun of exploring crash sites, before continuously yapping away like some deranged chihuahua.

If I never teach another student how to do a cloverleaf in offset trail I will remain a happy man.
