You're right it doesn't.

FA calls a friend with Hub Access -- sure enough there are seats left and she's number 1 non-rev. As boarding progresses FA notices the 7 other non-revs are gone. FA goes to the window and watches the gate agent escort the 7 non-revs on the ramp and up the jetway stairs onto the aircraft. FA tells other agent she knows what's going on, agent says there are no seats, sorry. FA calls someone at the company who then in turn calls the ONT station manager.

When plane lands in ONT station manager greets the flight and tells everyone to stay onboard the have to get an accurate passenger count. Sure enough, flight came in with 7 more passengers than what was listed.

Later,
Eye

Yo eye, you don't seem to know much about the W & B system. Loads are generated from ticket lift, not any count from the FA's. At worst the gate agent got nabbed, pilots are innocent in this thing. We used to verify the load with the FA's but 'best practice' doesn't use that anymore.

Better head back to the rumor mill to get your story straight.

I know it's true because a friend of my cousin talked to a girl who said she heard it from someone who saw the whole thing happen!

"What about this-"?
Giant fonted: "My career advancement has been delayed because of mergers" Nuts!..Galileo was WRONG!!!...the earth actually revolves around YOU!!

Don't ask Scott Theuer about the benefits of airline mergers. He'll tell you his life's story

"My career advancement has been delayed because of mergers," says Theuer, now a Philadelphia-based Boeing 737 captain.

I'm just quoting the spin master!!!

You...have...no...clue...as to Fed thinking it seems.

"Yo eye, you don't seem to know much about the W & B system. Loads are generated from ticket lift, not any count from the FA's" Oh yeah...that'll completely eliminate ANY pilot responsibility...guess again.

"I know it's true because a friend of my cousin talked to a girl who said she heard it from someone who saw the whole thing happen!" Well!!..Harrumph!!..that'll be all the Feds need to hear then. Umm..did you actually type that with a straight face? ;)

Not to jump to any conclusion here, but it will be easy enough for the investigators to verify. If the pilot(s) knew and did nothing to correct the situation they're in a heap o' trouble. If they didn't know and wouldn't have known by normal means, they're okay. Any discussion of this in the cockpit after the crew was made aware of the impending pax count on arrival would be VERY telling! On crew airplanes, it's impossible for someone to get away with something like this, so if it did happen, we'll all know soon enough!

I've seen some Mesa guys w/ USAPA lanyards...does that make them scabs? No I believe they want to protect their upgrades to Mainline when US buys Mesa out :)

How many SCABS ( I mean real ones ) does America West have working now, I counted a bunch on my SCAB list but it's old?

If we're following the definition...

4. a worker who refuses to join a labor union or to participate in a union strike, who takes a striking worker's place on the job, or the like.

Yes I do understand what a REAL SCAB is...I was joking about the ratio numbers but WE KNOW there ARE REAL SCABS at America West when you HPers went to Australia to help with flying when the pilots down there were on strike and we(we as in America West doing business as US Airways) just went down there and helped the airlines keep flights running with the planes...so THEREFORE THEY ARE REAL SCABS if they went down to down under and got greedy.

I guess you don't know what a REAL SCAB is.
For those that need to know what a "Scab" is...

scab

Definition

Employee who (1) continues to work during strike action at the place of work, (2) accepts work where strike action is going on, (3) takes work in a non-union shop or (4) under non-union conditions where a union is trying to organize a unit. Also called black leg.

I don't think wearing a USAPA lanyard is a definition for a scab and I don't remember crossing any picket line.
