Aircraft maint issues

I hope you are kidding. Grow some balls and DO YOUR JOB. If you cant figure that out, there is no helping you or anyone like you.
I already do my job very well, not sure what you are alluding to? The choice of off shoring aircraft maintenance has little to do with how well we do our jobs (by the book or not). It has everything to do with cheap labor & lack of EPA, OSHA regs to deal with. So please inform me what I'am missing......smart guy.

If I may only briefly intrude gentlemen, I'll inject a copy of my posting to one of yours on the pilot thread: "Never forget that without you guys not even a single aircraft could so much as turn a wheel to move. Best wishes in negotiations and stay strong in your position. I'm sad to say that our "almighty pilots" group virtually surrendered at almost every level during the last round. Don't do anything even close to the same in a time of previously unimaginable industry profits." The industry's available cookie jar has never been more overflowing than now....NEVER. Having said that; your contract negotiations are entirely your own business. My only suggestion is to hang together and hang tough in the process.

Does anyone know how much Doug is putting towards our profit sharing from the 2nd quarter earnings?

It's SAD that you don't know what I'm talking about. Guess that is why They don't have respect for US. Thanks for the "smart guy"

Unfortunately all Airlines look as maintenance as cost, so if they can contract it out they will, I don't think Washington D.C. both parties will do anything about it, because it has continued regardless what party is in charge !

Like I said I do my job very well & always IAW the manual, and never without
having the latest B.O.W. in hand. I guess I do not understand why you feel we need to grow a set to do our job in the manner we are instructed by the FAR's
and the GPM.

I love seeing the support coming from the pilots and other groups. I think it would speak volumes if the pilots would send out public letters in full support of their mechanics getting a contract. It does change how the company thinks when support from the pilots are seen by the public as well as the F/A's. When the company sees all the unions coming together as one group with all groups supporting all groups says a lot. When we were finally fully supported by our pilots and F/A's and even invited and moved into our Pilot's union hall, it drove the company nuts. And that is why if we have to make another move to another union it will in fact be with our Pilots union at SWA. What better way than to have the two groups that it takes to remove an aircraft from the ground all in the same union representation?
I hope you guys come to a JCBA soon. It seems our company is starting to move in the right direction and we will see how it goes at the next sessions in a couple weeks. Most of us do not expect anything until 2018 at least.

Without the involvement of the IAM it's like driving a car with two flat tires. You won't get too far in this condition. It's time for Samuelson to exercise his right to request that the TWU pull out of the Association.

Leave amfa for Swapa. Doubt there bylaws would approve. I may be wrong. Why would you leave Amfa????????? Thought everything was Shangra-Li!! Scared of upcoming lawsuit???????

I'm almost embarrassed to come here.

But what's more, I'm ashamed to be a USAirways employee and an IAM member and totally disgusted with the majority of my coworkers. This latest display of the lack of unity by my bargaining agent sickens me as it did during the NWA strike. But for the IAM, it's S.N.A.F.U.

I told you guys years ago you are the majority now and you'll get no help from us. We are now a group of apathetic, tired old men who want somebody else to do it for us. Keep in mind, not all of us, but now it seem like most of us.

When I say "the guys in DFW are holding a informational picket about the pace of negotiations", I get:
"That's the first I heard of that"
"What do they have to be unhappy about?"
"It'll get them no where."
Followed by:
"Excuse me now while I report to my next shift of overtime."

Just like when I said during the NWA strike about how they were replacing the strikers with scabs, and the IAM did struck work, I heard, "they should have never went on strike."

After Eastern and then NWA, the IAM, as an organization has flamed out. I can't wait to get out of here and now look forward to a job watering plants at Home Depot.

Yes it is, agree 100% and I can only hope you guys can get it done. Good luck.

Sad isn't it? I too hope we can get this IAM out of the airline industry. Scab union big time...
