The company wants what the other airlines have in terms of scope. They made it clear to the mediators they will not change their position.
So what next?
I

Maybe we should call them on it. Put their 50% scope on paper along with compensation and medical. Let us vote, let the membership decide what is acceptable.

I can’t get link to work on I pad. In 2018 the only Ofer I Rember is the jetnet contract bullet point Ofer. But don’t rember what it was on the 2019 bullet point they say there looking at what delta dose and at swa offer .
Hey, at least they are looking at SWA's offer to us. That's a plus is it not?
I saw the video weez posted, is it true the co. is asking for 2200 heavy maint positions as well as 1000 line maint to go overseas? That is just completely crazy IMO.

I believe the only reason the company is looking at your ta is to bolster their position on outsourcing. We wont come close to your compensation .

You just hit the ball out of the park on this comment.

Actually it helps their position on outsourcing should we wind up in arbitration. An arbitrator most likely will look at the industry as a whole. And the union cannot say well there are record profits at AA because the entire industry is enjoying record profits.

Of course that terrible agreement would help to bolster the Company position if it ever went to Arbitration and SWA were included in the decision. Personally I think it would be nice to see you guys put in a little effort though first before you chose to roll over.

What effort do you speak of? My union and Association are negotiating for us. And they have our best interests in mind, right?
I hope you are nor referring to any kind of job action. That is illegal.
The Association needs to get a proposal to us so we can vote it down if it is so bad.

I know you co. doesn't want to use our wages but, with mediators involved and especially if it goes to mediation (which I doubt) they will in fact use SWA in all categories. In med or arb they will not allow the co to pull SWA just for their outsourcing numbers and then pull say United or JB for their wages etc...
Our company did try to do the same with us and it was turned around on them. They were refusing to look at the UPS'ers latest new contract (just like they tried with our dispatchers) and it didn't work. Now, no we did not blow right past UPS in their wages, but we did in fact close the gap from 7 per hr before to more like 2-3 per hour now, so it did help us. But they (UPS'ers) still smoke us in benefits, retirement, and medical hands down.
We all know none of the companies want to use the "entire" industry for comparos, but in reality, mechanics duties are the same thru out the industry rather package haulers or passenger haulers. From UPS, FedEx to SWA and over to Spirit, a mechanics duties and responsibilities are the same.

Swampy you remember when SWA lost the arbitration and our Dispatchers made out, because they won, when they were compared to UPS Dispatchers.:)

Did you not see what the WN mechanics did?
Seemed to have worked there. Are you scared?
My boy, if mechanics are not ALREADY pissed, they will never be. Nobody I work with batted an eye when Wednesday's meeting results were made public.
