I believe the IAM has to concede this one. They are greatly outnumbered....Now on to the medical!
Any predictions?
Yes. 17% of the cost for all moving back up over the life of the Contracts.

One thing the association needs to realize, that unless both IAM and TWU are under one and the same contracts which includes ONE medical, they will be outvoted handily. None of this crap LUS keeps theirs and we keep ours. Ain't gonna fly.Yes. 17% of the cost for all moving back up over the life of the Contracts.
One day it may very well be your profession under attack.

WeAAz, let me share something with you, I have a friend who works at LUS. Known him for a very long time. We speak over the phone occasionally. He and his coworkers' MAIN concern is their medical. If they go to LAA medical, he says they take a paycut. He also hasn't stop reeling from the FCFS boarding issue. The Company puts that out to divide us and you’re naive enough to fall for it?
BUT I think it was the FA’s who were given cash for one Group to make up for the other Group having another few years of cheaper Medical to ease them into the higher cost?
Please elaborate how when we get to end the company imposes its terms and replaces workers. JUST like NWA/AMFA.
Either way the company wins.
A Flight comes in and I have to watch Swissport pick up the Mail and Fuel the Plane, Eileen come and inspect the bellies and clean the Plane, Envoy come and pick up Commuter passengers Bags and Skychefs come and Cater the Plane.
I took concessions in 2003 just like you guys. And we all lost our Pensions and Retiree Medical in the Bankruptcy.
And the Company is STILL wanting more from us.
One day? You see just by your comment alone tells me how blind you guys are to any other Group besides yours.
So you think in such a tight economy with unemployment so low they just have people sitting on the bench waiting to get in the game?
Besides only since we’re chatting on here I give the odds of us getting that far about 5% and that’s being overly generous.

I base many an opinion on what and WHO I know personally.
That huge Medical hit is a big one for guys that have a Wife and 2 Kids under the best plan as I understand it?
We all know Medical costs are going to go up overall for the IAM Members. It’s about how much they go up and how fast it happens.
People also seem to forget about those dramatic raises we got in 2016 and the fact there will be more raises coming that absolutely blunt that cost rise.
I understand and know all that. But it won't just be 30,000 ASSociation members. The pilots and f/a's will want it too, then it will be extended to ALL employees.
Yes, the company can afford it. But thanks to corporate greed, I do not see them doing it.
