Aircraft maint issues

What is the FSC to aircraft ratio at these carriers? Seems like we are always talking about the AMT ratio.
 
Governments and Corporations are all part of the same game. No one wants to overpay if they can avoid it.



What SHOULD you be making and how much outsourcing are you willing to accept to get there? The Industry has a few different percentages. The worst being SWA at 80%. Average is around 50% unless we’re going to move back into the conversation of UPS and FEDEX?



I would expect them to want to dump even more work by percentages if we would agree with it.

I’ve never seen it broken down anywhere before specifically. But right now we have 16,800 FSC’s.

But we probably have more in Mainline (TWU) than anyone else as well.

16,800 FSC for 960 planes. The information is readily available, Google is your friend
Yeah, I get that. My point being people are constantly harping on the AMT ratio. So why not highlight the FSC ratio as well. Lets put it all out there. AA has too much fat in all departments. Folks are quick to sacrifice the AMT.

Hog as an FSC I wish someone would publicly highlight us. We always get slipped in to the Generic category of “All Other” most of the time.

And AA doesn’t have too much fat. The way it should be looked at is all OAL cut out way too much fat. And that absolutely counts ALL in house Maintenance work.

Sadly the trend will continue. Until it is proven that outsourcing is causing planes to fall out of the sky, the argument is a futile one. just my opinion.
Hell, the mighty Amazon is outsourcing their entire air operations.
I am not saying I support what the company wants. My gut feeling is that the company will get most of what they want...One way or another.

Samuelsen, for all his good intentions, has never dealt with the Railway Labor Act. He is able to shut the city of NY down way easier thane can shut an airline down.

Point is that the Unions are corporations within themselves. They are in the game for money, mostly to operate? I hope.
A major issue is why don't the union Open their shops or just let the mechanics have self-determination? The difference is in front of you the A&P Mechanics want out, why do the unions want them to stay?

I was talking about sick time with my brother who is an honest conservative. We talked about sick time. He says don’t you think it’s unfair for the company to pay you when you’re not at work. That’s what people think. Talk to people who aren’t in unions and tell your complaints. Ask their true opinion of your complaint.

Buck we’ve gone over this too many times and now too many years to count anymore. You didn’t write not one single thing that we haven’t gone over to death. And I just don’t like ANYONE who arbitrarily thinks he speaks for everyone. I didn’t even like my last Local President supposedly speaking as a collective voice for MIA ( He ultimately found out the hard way that he did not )

Here’s your reality.

You recently tried to start a new group and that totally died even before it left the gate (AMP) You yourself admitted it.

As far as any AMFA drive coming up again next that too is over. In case you haven’t realized it AMFA and TWU have a Peace Agreement in place.

Neither Union will accept any cards from the other that come from anywhere by anyone. If you don’t believe me call your AMFA contacts and ask them yourself. There are and will be no active card drives.

It’s time for all of us to chit, get off the pot or get out of the way.
