Aircraft maint issues

Hellooooo!
Lightning strikes--- legit write up--right?
Pilot write ups--- legit write ups right?
inspection write ups--- legit write ups-- right? From a task card that directs him to do so, right?
Where's the job action driver C'mon you are not making sence.

And then you write that it's typical union tactics when trying to move a football. ??? Really? C'mon man. You really are looking bad here driver, just stop and wait and see.
Are you really suggesting that this is a job action of some sort??? If so, say so, if not then shut up and let the investigations span out. Wow. You sure your not company. Holy crap man. I bet you throw your men under the bus every chance you get at the flip of a switch huh???
The company is saying that. Whenever they decide to file a lawsuit if they do AMFA has to answer and defend it. There will be depositions of Mechanics. You say it's not like it used to be and we are being compliant. Well when their lawyers and a Federal judge ask why with these task cards before the last mediation sessions , the findings were not found. Now after this time we feel compiled to write up these discrepancies now, you better have a good answer. They sued us over Family week very easily. The only real defensible write ups are the pilot write ups, and requirements of inspection items. You can prove on the company side through statistics the amount of write ups normally. So don't be so smug. Plus the fact the FAA would want to know how so many items were missed on say an MV check signed off 3 days ago, and now we have corrosion in same area . Don't be so smug my friend, and do your job everyday the same way.

This was sent to me courtesy of old 700UW.

Seeing this I have to wonder if American Airlines is doomed to mediocrity and maybe we should just accept it?

"These investments are about expanding Delta's business opportunities today while also setting us up for long-term growth," Bastian said. "Building on the expertise of the world's best professionals, we will be positioned to grow with the industry's evolving technology and next generation engines and aircraft."

"Delta continues to lead the industry in innovation and reliability. This impressive new technology allows Delta to build and maintain better engines and prepares them to meet growing industry demands," said Perdue. "Delta's leaders and employees are some of the best in the business and their continued investment will help attract even more highly-skilled technicians and engineers as they continue to expand. I am proud Delta calls Georgia home and appreciate the significant impact they continue to have on our state every day."

I do, so no worries there. Corrosion can be hidden until it appears to the naked eye. Unless your using x-ray it can stay hidden until paint finally deters enough to see or show evidence of. I only say corrosion as you used it as an example. In other words it takes time for corr. to show its ugly head to the naked eyes.

Here is what Your union has to say:

bigjets I learned a long time ago that if you look too long in your rear view mirror you’re likely to smack your car into a tree.

But I also get YOUR point. But maybe it’s time to look and drive forward?

Oh I agree with you, but I just got rear ended by my not being able to vote for my union representation, then the lady that hit me got out and kicked me in the nuts by having two unions, with other union having no incentive at all for getting a new contract.

Your point is righteous, but I don’t think you have ever worked as a line mechanic under TWU representation.

I have never worked as a Mechanic under any Representation just as you have also probably never done at under any other profession as well.

Still doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be focusing on the future instead of keeping ourselves mired in the past.

On the Association vote though (Rear view mirror now) the man to take it up with I hear has occasionally been seen riding his Motorcycle in the DFW area.

That's fine, we will see what happens. You guys laugh and you joke meanwhile we drive our customers to our competition, just so we can get our 4%.
Really driver? Is this what you really think?? Pls get a clue man, you really do look very uneducated with your post. Why is it no one out here (from southwest) supports your views driver? Why is that?? Just stop, take a breather, do some YOGA and come back in about a week and refresh.

I actually do agree, one of two options will happen.

1) the contract will be done and the passengers will be back when SWA drops their prices .25 cents

2) strike and you will all be replaced

I would bet option 1

What are you talking about? This type of action worked great for Eastern and NWA mechs.
Exactly what I am talking about AMFA used the same tactics at Northwest. I am sure Earl Regional director AKA Alaska Airlines, would love our version of AMFA to trash SWA, it benefits his Alaska membership.
