They are bringing work in.
No need to give up any jobs while AA is making record profits.

He does not understand anything about the outsourcing the company is looking for. He has also claimed that NOTHING about outsourcing has been nego yet. He is not informed at all about the maint side of things during these nego's. I agree with you 100%, you guys will not have anything that looks like a t T/A or AIP by end of this month. That's just a no brainer.No. No I don't think they have anything formal down. The company has already shown their intentions on scope in the July proposal. The association has demonstrated their unpreparedness as evidenced by how long these negotiations are taking. The company certainly is not going to suddenly reverse course on outsourcing. So unless the association is prepared to capitulate on the outsourcing, I will stick to my statement. The scope article will be the one big item to stall this thing fully. Thats just one knuckle dragging` grease monkeys opinion of course.
These guys don't have a clue about what will take place with maint. All that you have said has been told to them and they just do not believe it.Yeah, really. I believe based on executive comments and Peterson’s updates that the company wants to worsen LAA Scope. Will an early out absorb it? Will a job in another city be offered? Either way I think we will have less AMTs in the new JCBA.
Back shops are being emptied and no one is being recalled or hired to fill the positions. When AFW and then TAESL was closed everyone retired or went to a position in the system. No jobs lost in companyspeak but there sits a hangar and engine overhaul facility once filled with TWU employees. Those jobs are now outsourced.
I hope you are right but I don’t think so.
So says an AMFA member at WN who isn’t in the IAM/TWU Association nor do you work at AA, yet you know what’s going on.These guys don't have a clue about what will take place with maint. All that you have said has been told to them and they just do not believe it.
Swamt- looks like American has many dates set for negotiations. Aggressive schedule thru the holidays. What are the dates for SWA negotiations???? Oh- I forgot- on ice thru the NMB waiting for Federal Lawsuit litigation outcome. "Wait em out"?? Hell of negotiation tactics for the members. Go home and clean up your own mess!!!!!

Sure you do,LOL!
In reality you guys could be done by March of 2018. The company COO visted us not to long ago, they want to be done too, we will see how serious everyone is. I am frustrated.Or maybe he attacks us to hide the ineptitude of AMFA at WN, over five years in Section 6 Negotiations with NO results, NO talks scheduled. and NO end in sight.
Maybe it’s a case of a Negotiations Envy.
I’ll give em a break. Maybe they somehow missed this update. Or maybe they think 80 positions added a year from now at Tulsa, base that probably loses a hundred heads a year through attrition, is actually adding heads. I’m happy for Tulsa as they have been shrinking for 20+ years but this is a bandaid when a tourniquet is needed. These guys don't have a clue about what will take place with maint. All that you have said has been told to them and they just do not believe it.
From what I’ve been told both sides want this done.In reality you guys could be done by March of 2018. The company COO visted us not to long ago, they want to be done too, we will see how serious everyone is. I am frustrated.
