No way. No way we see anything close to a TA or AIP anytime soon. The scope discussion alone could go 6 months easy.

Why do you say that? You don’t think even if they haven’t put it to paper yet that they haven’t had verbal discussions on things?

No. No I don't think they have anything formal down. The company has already shown their intentions on scope in the July proposal. The association has demonstrated their unpreparedness as evidenced by how long these negotiations are taking. The company certainly is not going to suddenly reverse course on outsourcing. So unless the association is prepared to capitulate on the outsourcing, I will stick to my statement. The scope article will be the one big item to stall this thing fully. Thats just one knuckle dragging` grease monkeys opinion of course.

Didn’t the Company just make an announcement about bringing work back in house?

ATD just said that Gary is becoming an Int’l rep? So if say that were true besides the fact he’s actually in the Executive Level Negotiations wouldn’t it stand that maybe he knows something that’s not exactly out there on the normal rumor wires?

And IMO if he didn’t think we were close I highly doubt we’d have this latest update video. It would be worded quite a bit different I’d think?

But of course the Company could throw a Monkey wrench into the works (No pun intended)
 
What can I say Weez? I'm pretty cynical today. The July proposal wanted to outsource all of facilities maintenance and deicing. They are moving forward on the Brazil hangar. I'm just not seeing them suddenly reverse course. I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't see anything happening soon. Food for thought, the APFA can open their section 6 in December 2018. If we don't have a deal by then it could get really ugly. I could see getting put on the back burner once APFA negotiations begin.

I know this sounds crazy BUT who’s to say the Company really is lying about that hanger in Brazil? (Yea maybe I get hanged for saying it) AA has a lot of flights going down to Brazil. Making an extra economic gesture of goodwill to employ Locals isn’t necessarily a bad idea?

And hey our original proposals were asking for Venus. Why shouldn’t we have expected the Company not to ask for Venus also until we both decided to come back down to Earth.

But what do I know? I’m just a humble Bag Smasher. :)
 
They aren’t building back shops in the hangar

They state they are only doing the work inside that is already being done in Brazil by AA mechanics.

So until the first plane in Brazil that heavy maintenance is done none of us can say they are lying about what they are doing.

Why would they invest money in a hangar for heavy maintenance while there is capacity in CLT, PIT, PHX and TULE?

Why would they invest money in a hangar for heavy maintenance while there is worldwide capacity at MROs?

Makes no sense moniteraly at all especially since no one know what Scope Language will be in our new CBA.

Time to stop the conspiracy theories till we actuall see what happens.
 
Hey GP. Great Video. Maybe you should talk tuff at the next town hall meeting. That should scare the hell out of the company and then you can see if we will get parity. That must be what the Pilots did. Oh wait. They had the GUTS to do what was needed to get what they wanted. Why is EVERYONE so scared to just do there JOB. I.A.W

Sound like you guys are in the same boat we are, our flight attendant contract is amenable in 2018 also.
