living in the past doesn't get you any where can't change it ( sometime times we all wish we could ) its up to our NC to get us the best contract possible . so lets keep the pressure on them.

His words. Have you tried asking the Company or any of its representatives why?

I have 31 years at American. I am only 53 years old. I was hired under the C scale. I knew when I accepted the job what I would be making.
What does that have to do with anything? Are you trying to somehow prove a point about how you took a screwing from senior people to justify your present day greed?

No, you really don't. A UNION's one and only purpose is to allow collective bargaining for better compensation and working conditions. Anything else is the invention of the UNION officers and the membership.

UNIONs have and always will push entitlement. It is part of how they survive.

How the HELL can you expect a person with 1 year with the company to have the same benefits as someone with 30 years.
Show me how round robin vacation picks give a less senior person the same benefits as you. Can you actually do that or are you just running your mouth.

I stopped working there 4 years ago. I have already exceeded what American Airlines had to offer me in every way. I have no regrets about leaving.

One of the best perks about not working for American Airlines is I don't work with a bunch of lazy, entitled, greedy people.

Maybe we should let the junior people have first dibs at shift and days off? Hell, while we're at it, why not start them off with 5 weeks vacation too.

Well I can't speak to Al Blackman because I have never met the man but I will say in TULE our most senior people were nothing more than entitled parasites living off of someone else's labor. They had nothing better to do than sit in the crew chiefs office day after day soaking up air conditioning and inventing new ways of wasting 8 hours a day. They did not even do their most basic job functions.

That describe Mr. Blackman?

Seniority has been throat cutting as you put it, since at least 1983 when the B-Scale was developed.
These are the same people that will preach about UNION brotherhood simply to keep the status quo. Their idea of UNIONism is trying to manipulate junior people for their own benefit.

You contradict yourself, in one statement you say anything that comes up should be voted on. In another statement you take an issue with round robin VC picks. I guess you're forgetting that it must be voted in by the majority to be in place.

My wife still works for American Airlines. I use this forum to keep up with contract news.

I am just as anxious to get this settled and done as anyone on this forum.

The entertainment value of calling people out for spewing garbage is just a bonus.
