One of the best perks about not working for American Airlines is I don't work with a bunch of lazy, entitled, greedy people.
Well I can't speak to Al Blackman because I have never met the man but I will say in TULE our most senior people were nothing more than entitled parasites living off of someone else's labor. They had nothing better to do than sit in the crew chiefs office day after day soaking up air conditioning and inventing new ways of wasting 8 hours a day. They did not even do their most basic job functions.
Too many in my Seniority range have become fat and weak honestly.
That being said, I also observed CCs who avoided most of the physical work appearing only when it was time to load the plane. It was a rather stark contrast between PHX Leads who typically set-up equipment, marshaled in planes, grabbed gate valets, hooked-up air and power, assisted in down load, checked water, execute the load plan, close-out the flight, and then push back the plane.
My biggest objection in my observations to the CCs were their overall disengagement from the physical work and the primary "qualification" to becoming a CC was that the person had higher seniority (and difficult to remove regardless of abilities).
those with the biggest problem with this issue are the laa c/cs themselves...who sense that the days of watching tv in an air conditioned ready room are over.
This just keeps getting better and better.
So I see the last AMT thread about to be closed between a non AA employee and a ramper getting personal. Just wonderful. Good thing we have several closed group Facebook pages, Whatsapp group discussions and other group discussion sites.
I am done for a while. I think I proved my point.
