AF pilots begin week-long strike

but when the strike ended, DL was free to add extra capacity and they did.

And even during the strike, DL carried literally tens of thousands of passengers that otherwise would have been o AF metal and for which AF will get no share in that revenue.

same thing for KL with the only difference that AF-KL are the same company

Shares in Easyjet have risen after the airline said it had benefited from a strike at Air France, as passengers switched to the no-frills carrier.  Easyjet says the strike has boosted its revenue by about £5m.

and DL's traffic across the Atlantic was up by 6.2% for the month of September even though the strike was for just 2 weeks.

EVERYONE benefitted except for AF and its employees who will be financially worse off in the future than if this strike had never happened.

Arguably, AF's employees were facing an uncertain future before the strike, and this did nothing to advance their cause.

now that traffic results for the big 3 US carriers have come out, the most surprising finding is that AA and UA appeared to benefit very little from the strike.

Considering the size of AF, the fact that they were able to keep most of the traffic on KL and DL along with what they did carry, AF did a pretty good job in keeping the revenue "among friends"

but yes, the losses that AF suffered will have enormous effects on the future of the company.
