Look forward to the TWU/AA pajama party coming forward with spin-off of AA Overhaul Maintenance.

With a "THIS or ELSE" attitude from the union and the company!!!!!

Lots of questions, not many answers!

and MCIE will be like yesturday's newspaper, old news. If we do not start to be a union again, and I mean real soon, no one will have to worry about a contract or concession. Now is a great time, with UAL, to unite our brothers. We either win, or we fail, but we fight! It's like taking a whooping without raising a fist, not my style.

Imagine what the company would think if the TWU pulled out of each and every joint committee and event. It's time to get mad people, fight alongside UAL and whoever is next.

Yea Im sure we will see those fangless snake shirts real soon! the only fight you will see from the TWU is if their dues flow is threatend, they could care less if TRASHCO does the maintenance just so long as the dues money continues to fill their coffers!

What remains to be seen is what the TWU will give up to make this happen. Even though the TWU sleeps with the company, they are going to HAVE to get something besides from being guaranteed representation at the spun off company.

My money is on Burchette and Co. demanding further concessions form the line stations.

I would sure like to know your position during the AMFA Organizational Effort.

You appear to be one that favored the TWU strongly as long as you had your false promises from the company and the company union. But now, you want us to take a stand and fight with you since your facing the last paycheck.

I am willing to do whatever if takes to assist you, but only if you are honest about WHO you are and what your previous position was regarding the Totally Worthless Union.

Anything less, leaves me not trusting you enough to fight by your side.

So overwhelming rejection? What were the numbers? Did more that 28% vote? Why the secrecy? I thought AMFA was open and forthright with the detail of an issue? What stations voted yes? Was it the base? How about letting us have ALL of the information and not just what you want us to hear???

Typical TWU stooge post by High Speed Steel.

Nothing to contribute to the topic of choice, so post some ignorance in an attempt to change the subject matter.

Why don't you just let other folks speak for themselves? That TWU training where you speak and think for everyone else does NOT apply on the interent, the world outside the gates of Tulsa, nor on this bulletin board.

By the way, why not know the trust worth of those you will stand beside in a fight and support. Take you for instance, I would not stand and fight with you or for you regardless of the subjest matter. You will be lucky to even be the recipient of collateral damage to any fight I might take a stand in.

Can you count how many times you have spat in my path of direction?

Fine, but do you really think the TWU will do that?

Sorry but you still do not seem to realize that the TWU does not work for YOU.

I hear you seed, but I don't think you hear us. A little backround for you; long before 2001 contracts, 2003 concessions, and whatever else in between, this AMFA organizer set out on a mission to decertify the twu because they do not preach, teach, or resemble a union. They have been and always will be a dues collection agency who refuses to listen to its members. I have been mad(under statement) and actively trying to change the course of unionism at AA for AMT's since 1998(mad before then). I do not sit idle saying, "I hope they change their ways." I like most AMFA organizers have tried the twu way, only to get kicked in the b*lls enough times to say it is time for real change. Now I'm not sure what your beef is with AMFA, but I am glad to see you call them brothers, as they are. (BTW...if you used your real name and the twu saw you call them brothers, you could be brought in bad standing for your internet posting, just ask Bob Owens). If you want to start fighting, there is only one choice for AMT's for a union. Unless you got a better idea, if you do, please share that with the rest of us.

Not to seem to repetitive with my stance on the whole AMFA/TWU BS, I could really care less. Fact is Decision, I could really care less if you stand alongside of me, in front of me, or behind me, all I ask man is that you stand.

Also Decision, I voted against the concessions. That was my choice and my elective. I knew the AMFA organizers at MCIE, they are, for the most part, now furloughed. Not that AMFA has a choice as to whom wishes to actively secure them as bargaining agent, but the organizers at MCIE were not considered as leaders, nor were they thought to highly of. Perhaps had AMFA sent in professional organizers, or had someone here that commanded a bit more respect, more here would have persued AMFA. I do not see where this topic has anything to do at all with us all fighting for one goal.

I have already secured myself other employment when this job dies, I am not seeking unity for my own gain, but for the rest of our profession, and of course to see the reaction of management when they smell unity.

Decision, I'm not asking you to assist me, but to assist yourself. Though you sit in TULE, you are not "saved". There is , by evidence, a limited number of people who post here. There seems to be a lot of talent and knowledge in this short list. Why not use it?

Are we, the mechanics at AA, going to be all furloughed without a fight? We are so busy fighting each other no one sees the real battle we are facing, shame. Bob asked if I felt the TWU would fight, would "do that". I really do not care what the TWU does or does not do, it's my job, your job, the TWU will go on with or without us. AMFA will also, the unions are not in this fight, their members however are in for the fight of their livihood.

Also, I do not use my real name for many reasons. Mainly not to hurt the feelings of many of my friends who do not think along the same "lines" as I. I have read posts from here that were displayed at work, I do not want to be a headliner, nor do I wish to have management harrassing me. I guarantee you this, I am not a AMFA promoter, nor am I a TWU officer, never been a steward for the TWU, nor will I ever be. I would like to promote unity, but only total unity.

You want us as mechanics to fight, yet you call for "professional union organizers"??

This is the same attitude that has us where we are today the membership saying one thing and expecting some busdrivers organization to get it for us.

I consider all AMFA represented AMTs my Brothers & Sisters. My name is Ken MacTiernan. AA AMT Crew Chief SAN. I also hate the twu's undemocratic and unaccountable system of unionism. ;)
