AMFA Supporters of AMFA Local 12 in Tulsa have reached an agreement with Sure Shot Action Photos to provide 3 1/2" Strike Support Buttons as a fund raiser.

Sure Shot will provide the 3 1/2" buttons at $1.00 each.

The idea is to distribute these support buttons and request a $5.00 donation per button with the extra $4.00 going to NWA Mechanic Strike Relief.

You can order buttons in lots of 25 each to begin distribution and donation collection.

You can use PayPal and the secure Sure Shot Action Photo e-commerce order procedure at:

Sure Shot Action Photos Strike Fund Raiser Button Order Page

Thanks to all that support an end to industrial union concession bargaining.

Orders are going well!

Thanks again to those that seek an end to industrial union concession bargaining.

F.A.Q.

QUESTION: When will ordered buttons ship?

ANSWER: Currently buttons ship next day via overnight FedEx.

QUESTION: How should donated money be handled.

ANSWER: AMFA National is going to place a Strike Fund Web Page with PayPal and other payment options up soon. You can send your donations for buttons there, or contact your nearest AMFA Local and send it to them direct.

This answers two of the leading questions I have had via telephone contacts today.

The Mechanics strike is gaining momentum and cancellations are increasing for NWA Management.

I just ordered fifty for SAN. Wearing a button showing support for NWA AMTs is one way to help our profession. Thank you for those who came up with the idea of printing buttons.

I think you have a good idea to help support the NWA AMTs.

However, by using a photo of a Northwest Airlines aircraft, complete with their logo, you may be opening yourself up to a copyright infringement situation. NWA Mgmt and the AMTs already hate each other so persuing your effort to support the striking workers isn't going to do anything to ruin the relationship. I'd tread lightly until legal counsel approves this design.

Good point!

But the copyright belongs to the photogrpaher and permission was granted for its use.

Thank You

Payment Received.

We are awaiting an overnight shipment for more button blanks. Could be a slight delay is shipping this order. Hopefully in your hands by Friday. :(

I hope they ran out because of mass ordering

You better hope you sell a lot of buttons. :D

By my math, the NW mechanics are already down $3.78 million in pay over the last three days and the total grows by about $1.26 million every day.

4,500 mechanics x $35/hr x 8 hrs x 3 days

Yes we sold out in 7 1/2 hours of current stock.

We tripled the order today and they are being shipped via UPS over-night.

We will produce more and ship again on Wednesday.

Keep the orders coming folks, we may not replace the lost pay, but we can buy bottled water, soda, sandwiches, snacks, ect. for pickets on the march with the button donations.

Replacement of pay was never the plan, NWA mechanic overtime pay for the last two years has taken care of that issue.

Just buy and distribute the buttons and ignore the management defenders.

Well your math is off.

First of all over half would be gone, so subtract at least 2300, that leaves 2200.

Secondly NWA decided to lower the pay to $25/hr.

Try it again at 2200 x 25 x 8=440,000

So it comes out to $97/day per member.

Now if only we could compare how much NWA is losing through cancellations and delays.

NWA may have been preparing for 18 months but so have the mechanics. If I was at NWA I would have been able to build up a decent war chest in the years since we got screwed.

As of the today, the AFL-CIO unions are scabbing at NWA, including your beloved twu. The twu is also scabbing at JFK with their Swissport mechanics working on NWA planes. You have reached a new low Scab Boy...You are a lowlife piece of sh*t, just like a scab.

Hew Weee!!!! What's that smell??? Its ol' Butt Scaper back from his prison cell tellin' jokes to Big Bubba, his "cell buddy".

Did ya read the bed time story to Big Bubba how the afl-cio is crumbling and your company union buddies in the afl-cio are doing nothing to stop the failures?

Your twu is next retard, but as we all know, your cowardice will never bring you to the fight.

Now run along (crawl?), before you hurt yourself trying get off your knees.

Win or Lose Scab guy AMFA techs have shown they have more backbone than the other unions including the TWU. They can live with themselves the rest of their lives knowing they did the right thing, cowards, like Jim Little and the scabs at NWA have to live with their cowardice the rest of their lives.
