AA flight attendants

FCFS is not fair to hub employees, so an outline station non-rev will get on a flight before someone at a hub, if what everyone has said is true.

Think about your logic!

A hub employee bumps a thru employee off a trip. The thru employee is then stuck away from home.

A hub employee doesn't get on a trip he goes home!

Non-rev charges are determined by flight length, F/C being more expensive than B/C or coach.  If you have 5 or more years with the company, coach is free on domestic flights.  The calculation for different cabins is not important because one of the features of the non-rev travel app is that you can specify your route (one-way or round-trip and the app will calculate and tell you the charges (if applicable) to every category D1/D2, D3 and for less than and equal/more than 25 years.  (D1/D2 are the same charge.) However, as I understand it some of the features of the PMUS non-rev costing system are being incorporated into Jetnet non-rev travel.  I'm not sure what the changes are; so, giving an example of charges right now would be inaccurate.

The charges are still substantially less than buying a ticket to the same destinations for the most part.  I will say that I was once looking at D3 charges for my aunt and first cousin (her daughter) to go ORD-LHR-ORD.  The coach fare available at the time was not that much more than the D3 charge; so, I recommended to them that they just go ahead and buy tickets if they intended to travel in coach.  If they wanted a good deal on Business or First Class (with the possibility of no space available on a particular day) then D3 was the way to go.  To insure a seat on the plane, they decided to just buy coach tickets.

Nice explanation Jim!

As for D3, I discourage it for my family and friends. After they get stranded for days they seem to understand!
And, I usually buy a ticket at 20% discount for my vacations because I do like to get there!!!

However, Rogallo, my brother, the retired Army Lt. Col. (ret) has informed me that if he loses his D3 travel privileges if I retire then I can just count on working until I drop dead.
He and his wife D3'd from HSV to HNL (through DFW) in the middle of the summer to visit their son who is active Army before he went to Afghanistan for a year, and they not only got on the first flight going and coming, they got those 767 coach HJ seats that are at a bulkhead and a door; so they had worlds of legroom (he's 6'3").  And, that's just one example of his luck at D3 travel. Whereas I've had more than one D1 burned while I road the jumpseat to where I was going because there weren't even coach seats available!

Don't get me wrong. There are certain days and times that give a better chance to non-rev!

Are those the seats by the galley? If so, we flew those back from HNL once. It would have been great if not for the FA's pissing and moaning (loudly) the whole flight about us being in their seats.
Real comfortable.

It really sucks that AA employees have to put up with your management...but now we also have to listen to you and your co-workers' unrelenting bitching.  First you ***** cause the merger was in jeopardy...now you ***** cause the merger has happened.

I certainly hope you're not getting a pay raise out of this merger...I know you would be on these boards complaining about that too.

Nope you all got raises for the merger, not the US ground folks.

And so you saying its ok for the company to violate the CBAs and get away with it?

Its not the roll over TWU.

So what if the company said we are only going to pay PMAA employees minimum wage, would that be ok?
