AA enters LAX -ATL

good for them. but I have repeatedly said that a whole lot more people are more interested in the biggest paycheck than they are in having the control of voting for a contract and make less.

when DL people give up their higher pay for unionization, let me know.

Maybe in your myopic world everyone is just out for the biggest paycheck possible, but most people I know would work for less pay if it meant better working conditions. I know I've done it, and having a say over workrules usually leads to better working conditions.

Just stop responding to the troll. All know it would be arguing that working conditions, and not pay, are precisely why people do not want unions...if it fit his narrative.

Is that not exactly the argument he is crafting with the crew rest?

people say that but then they maximize wealth.

it is capitalism and built on the reality of humanity.

Adam Smith was a whole lot more tuned into the nature of humanity than a lot of people here want to admit.

So by now Delta was supposed to get really angry and announce hourly widebody MIALAX service. Still waiting, WT.

they were?

I have a feeling they are waiting for AA's earnings call next week to highlight that DL can start new competitive routes and turn in better revenue growth than AA.

or maybe they figure that AA will hang itself all by itself. DL is all about the long-term perspective

that's what happened in NYC and DL is still cleaning up

Maximizing wealth and getting the largest paycheck are mutually exclusive.

Wealth is maximized by spending less than you earn, which includes not accumulating debt.

Period.

the same bar that exists for DL exists for every other carrier. PROFITS.DL, BTW, has crossed a threshold that WN and AS have perfected; DL is defying the mindset that has existed that network carriers can't be as profitable as "small and nimble" carriers like AS and WN.there will be no list of 10 good or bad things for any airline. never was for AA or US or any other carrier.move on and figure out what and why AA/US gets the criticism I give it and what it needs to do to fix it.
Because I am sure the folks in DFW sit up at night researching your criticisms.

DL is cutting frequency LAX-BOS.  We will hear that its capacity discipline, and how there are five carriers on the route, fares are too low, etc, etc.  But if AA was cutting (and DL adding) it would be a strategic move and another example of how DL is eating AA's lunch at LAX & BOS.
