Delta doesn't fly to DC and Chicago from LAX.  Effectively, from LA, it is the airline of of hicks.

And the T5 FIS was expanded. T4 has its own FIS?

T4 obviously has FIS, but American Airlines has something called TBIT, and won't need it much longer. And in less than a year, it will be connected to T4 within security, with dedicated security lines for TBIT arriving passengers to connect quickly to T4.

I bet T4 FIS is converted to expanding baggage handling/carousels.

and yet DL is the largest international airline and largest cargo carrier among the passenger carriers.

Only AA fan kids would drag out data they thought would prove their supremacy only to find out that DL is in fact already the largest int'l airline at LAX

Any walk between T4 and TBIT is longer than a walk within T5 or any other terminal

And given that AA has had a bussing operation at LAX for years and will into the future, it is hard to argue that DL will be worse off and it is still not clear that DL might acquire gates that don't require bussing

DL might be the largest international airline at LAX however is the 3rd largest amongst the big three in total international revenues

Knowing that DL has bused passengers between terminals as well at various locations at time

Just like DL runs at LGA

so let's see - it's OK for DL to bus passengers between terminals but not AA - double standard again

  Ok.... I give up.

Searched high and low for the meaning of FIS in this context.

Which of these is it?  I am guessing it's not the first on the list:  Flood Insurance Survey

Pretty sure it's an acronym for Federal Inspection Station.

Otherwise known as "Customs"...

If that's the case, why not just use their own official abbreviation:  CPB?  As in cpb.gov.

If it's security screening, it should be TSA.

Hey, let's all make up abbreviations so that no one will know what anyone else is talking about?

(None of this is aimed at you, Kev.)

Sorry, Driver. That one is on me. I picked that FIS abbreviation off the other site and assumed it was common lingo. My bad. I should have just said Customs.

Federal Inspection Services, thats is the right term for Customs, thats the official title, your fine Steve.

And the 3rd largest international airline at LAX has decided not to have an FiS in their terminal in favor of the TBIt while DL UA and T2 IIRC have their own FISs plus have access to TBIt

No wonder they are larger international airlines

The good news AA has more international revenue than DL - interesting how DL loses double in LATAM over AAs loses in Asia - DL should keep up the good work

Are you conceding DL loses more money in LATAM than AA does in Asia and is the third largest airline in international revenue?

You need to look at rhe annual reports on SEC form 10K

AA in fact reported a lower percentage of international revenues than DL or UA

And AA iS the least int'l of the big 3 at LAX
