AA and US Merge?

Just wait for the first day of bad weather. The movement will scatter, not to be seen until next spring.

I guess it is ok for people to take to the street as we have seen during the ARAB SPRING......as what occured in EGYPT and LIBYA...But when it happens on US soil, right away these people are called thugs, bums, radical students, etc.

What they are protesting has some merit to it.

what happened in the financial services and banking industry had a profound effect on what happened to this economy.
Yet, the executives STILL GET REWARDED... For "SEEING THEIR CORPORATIONS THROUGH THESE OH SO DIFFICULT TIMES....etc etc etc blah blah blah!

Yep - back to Mommy's basement for the duration, curled up around their Iphones.

Remember the 60s "Pig Ins"? Those were the trust fund babies who are running the corporations now. Take a good look at corporate Amerika's future, but these brats aren't playing guitars and singing Peter, Paul, and Mary songs.

With that in mind, nuking the SOBs doesn't sound so bad, does it?

Two years from now, I think you'll probably look back and see Arab Spring differently. My guess is that Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya are all going to vote in Islamist ruling parties. It's already likely in Tunisia and Egypt based on the pre-election polls. We'll know by November 1 and December 1 respectively.

I'll save the rest for the Water Cooler.

I't looks like it may happen...Where there is smoke there is fire.....That will give them an East, West and South. I wander who the North will be?

With you 100% E. Probably most of the Copts are with us too unfortunately for them.

I'm thinking of setting up a radiation remediation company specializing in arid enviroments. Should score big with a buyout by Haliburton in 5-10 years at most.

Your link and its comments at the bottom make all the difference in the world, concerning a suggested merger with USAir.

I wish they would make up their minds, is it the fault of labor or $3.00 a gallon Jet-A?

We could work for free and they'd still fiddle as Rome burned brightly through the night...

Pay particular attention to the quote from Parker. If there were talks going on he couldn't say that without the standard disclaimer on "forward looking statements". Instead of the disclaimer, the usual response is some form of "No comment". So when one of the CEO's say "No comment" in response to a question about a possible merger, you'll know they're talking to someone. As long as Parker is saying that US will continue being a stand-alone carrier there are no talks ongoing.

Wow. How many times is the same news story going to be reposted here?...
And nowhere does Parker say anything about a merger with AA. Mergers are common is really all he says in the article.
