The NWA & EASTERN guys did what they did not as a sacrifice, but to stand and fight for what they believed in. That is something the AA mechanics have NEVER Done. We'll get em next time, has been the war cry. We got our money, to hell with the new or junior guys. Don't talk about something You were Not a part of. The USAirways/IAM represented mechanics Rolled Over. It's time for them to show the IAM the door. SIGN an AMFA Card lets bring new leadership to the Maintenance and Related Class and Craft work group.

ALUS "YES" I Absolutely DO.. and I am not the only Eastern Mechanic who feels that way. Back then the IAM was a strong Union. Represented a Big Majority of the airlines. Continental, UAL, TWA, Eastern, USAir, NWA, Alaska, and so on..Now the IAM is a company Lap dog Union, Not as Bad as the TWU, or the IBT but the union who has punked you guys at LUS/AA.

Hopefully if you are part of the maintenance class and craft group you have signed an AMFA card so that both the LAA & LUS guys can reboot and start fresh with new leadership.

stingy is not what i would use, greedy is a more likely alternative. since the company monitors this website there are few more that describe them a lot better then that.

until then just "going for mediocre" if we can just pass spirit air in the rankings....

looks like the phl chapter of the apa passed a resolution that rips into parker and his mngt. team. says they should all be replaced and gives it's reasons.

apparently, pilot protest against aa mngt. in dfw on jan. 29.

the pressure keeps ratcheting up.

That goes under be careful what you wish for.Wonder if another CEO would have given raises in the middle of a contract.?
 
I bet they took their tools with them. I think most knew what would happen so no choice.
Tim once a AIP is reached will they make an anouncement and at least give us some details or send it to negotiating committee and leave ud in the dark

I know you didn't. Your union did in the updates prior to the last one. But you did post several articles still open to be closed and a T/A by Thursday is just misinformation leaked out to try and stall the card drive. Watch and learn.
The performance by the Association has been so horrid that I don't think they can derail the card drive. This has been an awful experience that is a real low point in unionism. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a TA is somehow reached and passed and the card drive succeeds then the AMFA just takes over the new contract. Could work out well for them. Then again as for close to a deal, I won't hold my breath.

Oh don't underestimate the stupidity, ignorance and short sighted memory of the AMT. As a group we need to stay focused and move forward to achieve the goal of getting new representation on the property. Many in the past have just faded away when a new contract was signed. It happened before and don't think the it won't happen again. Hopefully this time will be different with a wide awakening of the Title 1 and 2 guys. Enough is enough.

They will probably just impose it. A vote is just so old fashioned, thats just not how the association does things...
 
"Today or tomorrow" have passed. It's 1800 in DFW. Not a peep from anyone.
As I said there will be an announcement tomorrow and it’s going to be no more progress has been made and they will be meeting the NMB at the end of the month.
There is 0 trust with these guys on both sides and we are stuck in the middle

It will be very disheartening if a t/a isn't announced on the 22nd. and will destroy the credibility of almost everything posted on this blog. :( Very sad
