AA and APFA expidite talks

I set my limits in 2003, Princess, and voted no. The union chose not to listen to that vote then and I doubt they would listen to it now.

I am not under any delusions about the financial state of the company. I am disgusted, however, that so many of my coworkers are busy minding the company's coffers for them regarding what money should be allocated to us. We should all be making sure that we don't give anything else up while under the misguided idea that it will help us in the future. You NEVER get back what you give away unless you agree to it in writing.
Thank you Skymess for understanding what's really going on with this company...Certain individuals on this board have no clue...At least someone gave up the KoolAAid and can comprehend reality.

I've never complained about union reps being trip removed.
Please. We have all seen your "Blessed Order of the Perpetually Trip Removed" poor attempt at humor invoked in a derogatory manner any time any discussion about APFA reps comes up.

As others have said, if you think doing union work is easier than flying, have at it.

Ed does this mean that Skymess as achieved the pinnacle of wisdom and understanding only known by you? Skymess, how do you take that as compliment or an insult?

I'm wondering which Koolaid they gave up on -- the company's or the unions....

<_< ---- Princess your showing your ignorance "again"!!! ExTWAers have faced, and overcome, more than you'll ever know! "Coward"?----- All I've got to say to you is "Bocka mea via dupa!!!"

When ex-TWAers(at least on the mechanic side) quit voting yes for every concession thrown their way. I will then believe you. Until then "Gehen Bumsen sich!"

That's a bold yet arrogant statement to make. How do you know your statement is true? Do you have facts or do you just assume everything.

Mike you humor astounds me. BTW...I think I hear school bells in the background ringing..Shouldn't you be in class? When do you graduate? the sooner the better!

<_< ------- Joe, she's a better person! She like a lot of nAAtives blame everything on the exTWAer's including the last Concessionary contract! Never mind that at the time we were less than 700 AMT's, and related, here at MCI! Never mind that it was the TWU, not TWA, that gave away the candy store, without a snap- back! Never mind that not all, who were elegable to vote, never got pin numbers to do so! Never mind that at the time the membership, here, believed, whether true, or not, that our necks were on the chopping block! ------ She, and others, feels we should have jumped under the bus to "save" them! Well, that's not going to happen! And guess what?----- Every RIF that comes down the pike, exTWers are the first to go, in their place! I'm sorry, but she, and those like her, can kiss my A$$!!!!

We all have limits, but that includes the company. While it's not my responsibility to decide what is and is not good for the company's books, what I can tell you from common sense is that the company can only afford so much when it is bleeding money. I can also tell you that if we circle like vultures and take too much we will kill the beast and be worse off than before.

I'm not drinking either side's kool aid, I just want to have a job in five years (preferably the same one).

Sorry, I really don't mean to be rude, but I am having trouble understanding what you mean by "I set my limits." You voted No - but are nontheless working under the current terms and conditions, correct? So even though you claim to have voted No, you have acquiesced by showing up to work under the terms of the current contract. Thus your so-called "limits" don't seem to mean very much in any practical sense, unless I am missing something.

So does the name "frontline" stand for frontline supervisor? I'd hope so because I sure as heck wouldn't want you on the "frontline" of any union initiatives. Then again your defeatist attitude might make you overqualified for a twu international position.

There is no rush for me. I am staying 2 1/2 more years dropping trips.

Its people like you who will cost other f/a's their jobs if AA furloughs. Try taking PLOA and help someone keep their job, since you drop everything. I will take a leave to help a junior f/a keep their job. I have another job and taking a PLOA will not affect me.

We all want the same thing, but it is never going to happen right now. I wouldn't call having a realistic idea of what's going on defeatist, although we still can't give up the fight. I would call, however, snap back demands or vote no attitudes self defeating.

Try not to accuse, or jump to conclusions. There are no leaves being offered right now. Since you dont know my financial situation and whether or not I am dropping all or part of my schedule. It makes a difference.

Like several people I know. If there is a buy out like Delta, I am outta here. Other wise I am staying until I am able to qualify for the early out. After this many years I do deserve to leave with something.
