US/AA MERGER TALKS

Great idea, don't support a merger, don't worry about the long term viability of the company, your future etc.
And this guidance is all coming from someone who doesn't work for either airline, and has nothing to lose at all. What day of the month does your check from the AFA arrive in the mail?

What Labor CAN do and is within their power and scope is do their best NOT to support a merger. If there is public attention that U labr and AA labor do not support a merger, and that AA has the right to their exclusivity period, just as ALL the other legacy carriers have had including USAirways during their BKs, that will help postpone or prevent a merger and allow both airline unions to deal with their managments and get the best deal they can. U is NOT in BK, and they have a better advantage than the AA.

With all due respect PIT, the point of my post was it does not need to be so hostile between everyone on these boards....As for public attention, I think the public will be hard pressed take the unions seriously, U fleet feels the IAM is in bed with the company, AA feels that the TWU has sold them out and the U pilots situation, no need to get into that. If the merger happens, it happens, there are active employees on both sides that want a merger, and there are active employees on both sides that don't and then you have ex employees throwing fuel on the fire.

This is the most idiotic thing I've heard all day, and I've had a very long day. I think you might be setting yourself up for some butthurt of epic proportions.

Really??? By whom???? Threat of some sort?
Paranoid much? By you, sugarface. Point being, the pride you take in the tenacity with which you hold your shallow, wrong-headed opinions and your supreme confidence in knowing how future events are going to unfold might set you up for some real disappointment when fate throws it all right back in your face.

Tenacity and confidence comes with history and hindsight; insight coupled with experience to the 10th power lays the foundation that provides for the foresight and predictability in which you speak of.

The operating word in your post is "might"...
speculation with alot of wishful thinking on your part, indeed.

Here's back at you.

I don't doubt it one bit, but there is a difference between being that and being just a loud-mouth has-been. Tenacity and confidence are good traits, but abusing them to make up for a lack of reason and common sense is bad form. I wish your keyboarding skills were commensurate to your pride. Maybe if you didn't have all that baggage you'd be better at considering facts and weighing possibilities instead of keeping absolute faith in your supernatural skills of prophecy. Then again, why would a person heady to vicariously relive the glory days of labor battle endorse anything but years of continuing labor discord?

Do you happen to work in the printer/copier industry?

Your meaning?????

I think that he thinks that you and SparrowHawk are the same person. Considering the dialogue between the two of you just above, you would have to be a beautifully split personality, now wouldn't you?

Well I know Pitbull very well and I have also met Sparrowhawk, I can tell you they are definitely two different people.

One is male and one is female, lol!

So your a Dr now?

PB was the best labor leader on the property, I know first hand the former MEC President Perry Hayes tried to negotiate and end around the IAM M&R work in regard to utility, she informed me, and the problem and issue was squashed and he wasnt going to cost or harm IAM members to benefit the FAs, labor doesnt do things like that and she had other labor union's back.

If any leader had half the courage she had, there wouldnt be the mess between labor and the company at US.

She was one hell of a leader.

oh plz. teddy xidas as some sorta norma rae is a joke. a "fighter' with "passion"...baloney. she "fought" to get us our concessionary contract and "fought" such a great "fight" that got us all displaced from our bases...and she fought for a special deal and a secret deal from management. some fighter. symbolism over substance. I say I'm a "fighter" for labor and then I am despite presiding over a disaster? idiots to fall for such drivel.
