A330-200 Envoy updates?

Never fear. The crew rest quarters for the flight attendants are coming. The crew rest seats we have now on the A330-200 are inadequate and the arbitrator agrees. It may not be the pod down in the cargo hold but the rest quarters WILL improve. Take that to the bank.

If that is the case......does that mean Kirby and Company are going to pull the TLV flight as promised (threatened)?

Yeah right. That TLV flight is soooooooo profitable even the company is shocked. It's crashing the numbers they anticipated. Don't be surprised if ya don't see a second TLV flight a day. I see the crew rest being a walled off room in the main cabin ala Aer Lingus. Theirs is in the center by the 3L/3R door. With the walk space from the wall to first seat it would work to take out the 4 center seats and make a room. They block 4 seats anyway. Thats my idea anyway.

Saw a video of the new seats today. They are very nice indeed! World class, on par with those of "real airlines" like DL, BA, and LH. But let me get this straight. The 330 fleet will not be fully reconfigured until 2012!!!! That is THREE years from now! When the aforementioned "real" airlines decided to install pod type seats in the biz cabins, how how did it take? I daresay a lot less time, for far larger fleets. BA has what 50 744's and almost as many 777's. If they installed their new biz seats at the same as US.....

It's great that US is actually enhancing its product, instead of cheapening it.

But to take so long. Good grief! Could US mgmt organize a one car funeral procession?

Ya 3 years to install seats? Whatev.. I think this is typical US to announce something big but of course it takes forever to happen. They do this so they can backout of the plan if it becomes financially infeasible when it comes time to actually do it.
