Nice! How'd that come about? Part of gen fam, or something else?texasreb said:I had the chance to fly the 787 simulator and I don't think American pilots will be disappointed.

My assumption is that it will be delivered this week yet its entry into revenue service won't happen for at least a couple weeks (sometime in Feb) while pilots log a few hours and a few takeoffs and landings. Although they've all logged plenty of Sim time, I think they did the same thing with the A321s before they were placed in revenue service on the transcons. As a completely new type, I assume that a couple dozen or more pilots will do some touch and gos before they go live with 200 passengers. Rumours are that the 787s will fly some domestic turns like DFW-ORD a few times before starting their planned TATL routes.dvlhog212 said:A;; I know is we were briefed at our morning meeting yesterday to expect a 1530 arrival this Friday. That's the same plan I`m hearing here. The BOW is already loaded and ready to go for 8AA. I`m still being told it will be here this Friday afternoon.FWAAA said:My assumption is that it will be delivered this week yet its entry into revenue service won't happen for at least a couple weeks (sometime in Feb) while pilots log a few hours and a few takeoffs and landings.
