Because Boeing planes are real aircraft not tinker toys like Airbus aircraft .nycbusdriver said:So what? We're getting A321 deliveries all the time. Why not post those itineraries? Where are the pictures of those airplanes? Are you going to do this for each 787 delivery over the next few years?

Let's see an Airbus airframe hit the San Francisco sea wall and almost every one survives. Not going to happen in an Airbus fuselage with popsicle stringers. We've hade our 319's for about a year and can't keep the doors from falling off.nycbusdriver said:I cut my teeth on Boeings with the KC-135 (and even a little bit of KC-97!) Have type ratings (and commensurate Part 121 captain time) in the 727, 737, 757 and 767. Airbus is going to have Boeing for lunch. Bet on it.

have to say I like the baby bus alright.Glenn Quagmire said:Really?
The Airbus is a fine aircraft. I have worked on the A320 family since it was originally delivered and it stands up to all others. Do I like the 757 better? Yes. But that is the nationalistic side of me talking, not the mechanic.
Do you call your fries "freedom fries"?

'reb....my point being, all the competent people in the world ain't gonna do you any good if there's a damaged carbon fiber tube flying around going through pressurization cycles.texasreb said:We have some of the finest tech c/c's at DWH. No worries.
