Is there any published information on the alleged Chinese overhaul company re-using old parts and selling new parts charged to the compAAny?

doesn't matter. FAA doesn't care. I would say it will take a smoking hole but already had a few of them and they still don't care.

you are going to have to learn to deal with some non-A&Ps working on planes, engines, components. The idea of "you must have an A&P to touch plane parts" is going to get you outsourced even more.
 
It should be kept under control, but you are going to have to deal with have some OSMs. At Delta we have some shops that are mostly ASMs(your OSM), but if they didn't have the ASMs the work would be going to a vendor. I would much rather have the work in-house with some AMTs vs no work and less AMTs. Can't always have cake and eat it too. 
 
And math wise, with all the US work that would have to be brought in-house to get down to 35% you guys shouldn't have to bump anyone down. (matter of fact I imagine you would have to hire people.) 
 
 
Not sure where you got that Buck. That's not even close to being correct. Over the last 5 years you have gone from all your engines, all your heavies and a large amount of components being in-house down to
4 types of heavies, 3 of which are planes that are leaving (S80,757, 767). You are now down to two engines (CF6/CFM56-7) and send out(or will send out) RB211, T800, TXWB, T700, CFM56-5, GEnX, GE90, CF34 and V2500. 
And components you are sending more and more of it out also, plus not gearing up for the next gen stuff like Airbus, 787, A330, A350 etc.
 
Also over the last few years your outsourcing % has jumped 10%. (and that is the tip of the iceberg, if you take US scope you are going to jump to at least 55%. )
Oh and that 10% doesn't account for things like 787 work you haven't started gearing up for. The company is already playing you and you guys don't even see it (or care) 
 
so I'm sorry but, no. thats simply false.   
 
 
Having said that, your pay sucks, I get that. But its dumb to me to pay for your raises buy cutting half your work force. 
 
and FWIW you are just doing managements work. By already giving up on scope and allowing them to do whatever they want you are just taking more money out of your pocket. 
 
It should be "take the money, scope, benefits etc"
 
18% margins, billions in profits and you want to take money out of your left pocket to put it in the right. Parker and Co thank you. 
If you don't know what SRP or AMTO is then you must not work for the Legacy AA, at least in TUL.
 
I have been dealing with sub culture TWU represented mechanics since I walked in the door in 1984. Since you are uninformed concerning the SRP and AMTO, then you probably don't know what a B-Scale or C-Scale mechanic is.
 
You misunderstand, when you have these sub culture mechanics, that are not being compensated for their A&P licenses, then it is as if you are farming your work out.
 
You must be a union officer who sole goal is to ensure dues collection?  It sounds as if you you do not care what the mechanics wages are as long as they pay dues.
 
Oh but you are a Delta employee? Well I was sure you were a TWU commissar. 
 
The company is not playing me or my fellow mechanics, no it has been the TWU's policies and belief's .
 
Do not misunderstand, a union's position of keeping as many employed as possible is a good policy in  theory. But using it's member's to pay for it by not gaining compensation equal to or similar to their peers in the industry is  just wrong in my opinion.

I am not giving up on Scope, I just don't want to pay for it with substandard wages and benefits. Scope is important, but overall Scope has not change that much in my 30 years and yes here it comes, I even applaud the TWU for keeping it that way.
 
I wonder how our investors would feel about the work force wanting more? Many and I mean many, of my fellow union members are stock holders in the New American Airlines.
 
Up to this point, it is Parker who is offering my wage increase. You can quote percentages all day, but to the mechanic he wants his compensation and would like for it to equal or at least close to his peers in the industry.

I understand that here in TUL, that our inbound Serviceable parts which were being accepted ( from what I understand ) by Stock Clerks ( they are parts ) are now being accepted by Quality Assurance. As it was put to me the USAIr team has increased the number of inspectors in that area.

And that's because this company is too cheap to offer money like the United mechanics are getting offered to leave the company and the TWU and IAM are too weak to get anything done because they're just scrambling to save their dues payers and fighting over BS like probably bulletin boards. We won't see a contract till late 2017 or 2018 here we go again I'm used to being screwed by the TWU I just don't think these IAM boys understand how bad it's going to get.

Goey you could not be more right. This association could not give two nickels about us. DUES DUES DUES is their creed. They will impose what ever they want on us. Funny how this association is locked arm in arm with the company and saying the exact same things. Gary Peterson may say things you may not agree with, but he is one of the few challenging the company and the association so we get a VOTE and a say where our future is going. NO IAM PENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Danker told them on the 2nd day of meeting that he would advise his 4k membership to vote no if they tried to force joining the iampf

Good luck with that. The whole association thing was about saving the iam pension. Throw in all the lies from the twu we can not trust anyone or anything being said.

Does Danker have 4K members? The Title I list says 2795. Is there that many Stock Clerks and Title 2 in TULE to get 514 up to 4K?

You forgot 488 OSMs and 146 title one cleaners, for a total of 3,429 title one in TULE. Adding up title two and stores, the total for those groups is 734, for a grand total of 4,163.
