NYer   I don't think it will take 4 yrs  but if so  I wld hope it would be retro    Now that the merger is complete  it appears that DP and gang are trying real hard to avoid the melt down at UA  and at same time copy DL but trying to do it better.     As far as JCBA  I would like to have  it done properly and not rushed and screwed up    that's my take on it

 
If the two sides were getting prepared and using the time the NMB has given them by not yet making a determination on the Single Transportation System, then there would be no reason to rush. If however, there is a premium to get the JCBA done within a certain time line, as shown with the APA and APFA, then there might be some rushing which I agree is not in our best interest.

Good luck with this... As you can see by reading this forum,,,,there are those who are frothing at the mouth over 4%. They are the ones who will rush to vote on a sub par contract.

 
Most of the frothing is from those that want it now.

Parker tied more compensation into the savings from fuel and the lack of hedging that will produce profits of biblical proportion. Lol

The question remains, is the twu prepared to make up all the lost wages if the environment changes and oil goes back up, as the twu shakes its fist at the iam?

The members wanna know. I walked into two twu ready rooms today and explained this epic failure by the twu and all their members agreed.

Ill give them a few short weeks before i start campaigning against Lombardo and pounding his moronic stall.

The pilots entered negotiations with representatives of the APA and the USAPA, they got a deal. The agents started their negotiations with representatives from the CWA and the IBT, they're moving forward.
 
The TWU is trying to get out of the Association because they don't like it. In the meantime, we sit and wait.

From what I understand the IAM higher ups basically shut down the office at the end of the year for Christmas and New Years. I would suspect that at this moment the TWU is pretty much shut down as well.

If the choice was the Association and a long drawn out representation fight where both sides hold resentments for years upon years, regardless of who wins, then I'd rather have the Association.

There is no Pilots Association or Flight Attendants Association, its the APA and the APFA and we should go in as the TWU. One union, not two.

Bob if you notice there are 959 pages on this thread. It was started on the old US Airways page and was moved over to AA when that was shut down. For the most part this thread contains IAM members and leaders who like and are very proud of their Union.

Your comment is insulting and classless to many posters on this thread.

Your "mechanic" group mostly dominates or hijacks every thread on this forums page for their views and agenda's but you do have a few pages that are very specific to your group that I don't touch or contribute to. NOTE:  2014 Maintenance talks and DFW Maintenance at a glance.
