Anybody that knows me knows that I'm going to give you my opinion on things. I have no problem with anyone on here that does the same. And I can't help it if you don't like my opinion. I'm just giving you my 02 cents on what I think the IAM will do. You should have no problem with that. But if you do! So be it. And if you want to try and help me? Ok? Many people have tried to so call help me lol, hasn't helped much. And scope was by far the memberships biggest issue, and I think that's what I said in my previous post about the job security and decent pay. To me, our scope with no drop dead date on it, makes it far superior to the AA agreement.
I think sometimes my hardest job is trying to convince people to stop comparing the houses. The reality is you got a great house. It's well manicured and the foundation is solid. I like my house too. But now we've decided to get hitched. We're BOTH selling our old houses and moving in to that three story townhouse down the street. It's also a good house with a solid foundation. It needs a little work though. A few patches of drywall, some new cabinets and a remodeling of the bathrooms but we're gonna get her in shape and looking fantastic.

I think by the time we're done we're going to have a house that the entire neighborhood is envious of. But we have to be willing to do the hard work and compromise to each others ideas for that house.

That's how I see this my future Brother from another Mother.

I would agree with the second scenario more than the first about arbitration. Remember both sides have already signed off on this deal. The IAM if pretty happy. Their members have a pretty good agreement now that gives the job security and decent pay. They don't have to go to arbitration. I think soon the members of the TWU will pressure them to get going with talks since AA is stuck in a bankrupt contract.
+1

I agree and at the same time the TWU could have released that letter publicly if their phone calls weren't being returned (If pressure was needed for some reason) and made themselves shine in a better light to continue with negotiation preparations.

Hopefully this doesn't need to go before an arbitrator though and cooler heads prevail to seek an honest solution to the issues?

You know they're terrible at that. They just rely too much on the Local's putting out information and many don't.

They stabbed him in the back when they didn't count ALL of his members which according to him would have given it to him by 1 guy. ONE guy!

He was stabbed in the back because he's a pain in the ass and he doesn't always go along with the program people want to script. And I've come to call that pain in the ass my friend.
So why is the hold TWU organization behind him ? according to the letter

:( I have to agree with that. Sometimes it seems like I'm searching all over the world to get the information I want and it shouldn't have to be so hard in this day and age. Some people aren't cut out to be Local Presidents if they can't do something as simple as getting information out.

Alright maybe I've painted a picture here of this being all about one Lone Ranger with his sidearms drawn? It's probably just something as simple as an issue needs to be looked at and MAYBE addressed?

I don't want the guy to get jackknifed when it's others who are making waves to at least look into the issue.

The reality is that I think you guys on this thread should show a little latitude to having this issue resolved as all it might take is a week or two maybe. There were plenty of guys on the TWU side freaking out that we had to wait over a year to get this association ball rolling until you got your CBA.

The IAM negotiators had us on ice and said no talks whatsoever until we get what we want. I don't believe this is a case of tit for tat more so than merely a (little) bump in the road.

Go back and read your post. I wasn't comparing contracts until you brought it up. I only made a statement about our agreement giving our members job security and decent pay.. And I'm glad your happy with your house. I like your post. I agree with you. We should have the best one out there after all is said and done. I was just trying to point out that our IAM members as far as any delay happening, are sitting ok.

Nice comment there CB. That's the kind of comment that hopefully get's things back on track. We'll let the big boys take care of putting a little gravel in this pothole.

So again I find it very hard to believe that you are a banker who just happens to spend 18 hours a day in an airline union forum.  Nice try.

WeAA,

The irony is their efforts are accomplishing the exact opposite of what they desire. Bluto told me he voted for the first time in the last AGC election because of people like Doosh! What's funny, he even spoke with Nelson on election day. Nelson did know who he was of course, and he did not leave good impression as far Bluto was concerned.

That's why we had a record breaking turn-out in CLT to vote AGAINST Nelsons team!
Nice story Brobilly (awhile ago you signed your posts with that). Explain how if BLUTO has been on the forums since 09/2011 and claims to be a 19-year active employee and not connected to 141 why he just now got involved? Read his posts from 2011 and compare them to today. If you have so many apathetic members it's no surprise you guys are in the mess you are now.

Why do you think I jumped on this thread? I was reading along for quite awhile and it just got to the point where I felt like I needed to act. So I typed in my password after a 4 year absence from participating.
What consequence is any of this to you? You are AA MIA TWU fleet, USAIR fleet is under a separate agreement and even under the alliance will have different representation. Tim speaks the truth, educates, informs and engages the membership. He holds the leadership accountable, and ensured the democratic process was followed in the international elections by having a revote. Tim is a solid guy who is looking out for the membership. You on the other hand want an appointed position, but as Bob Owens posted there are enough other people sucking up for the few positions to go around. You come on here promoting divison by going on and on about wage differentials and COLAs.

Tim is a Flim Flam Man. A snake oil salesman and a guy who tries to use slight of hand to manipulate his personal agenda. Looking at his past few initiatives it also appears that he holds no one accountable as he's basically propelled himself to irrelevancy. What happens to Tim he does to himself so don't blame me.

You can try to paint a picture of me if you like Loki but I'll put my credibility up against yours and Tim's any day. You two have none.

If that's actually how you feel why do you come on here acting like you are doing some noble act and taking the high road by attempting to refute what Tim posts?

I don't attempt to refute what Tim (and you) post, I do refute what you both post. Actually you two remind me of Rats in one big maze looking for the cheese. I enjoy watching you two bump into the walls. It's even more fun to occasionally put in another little cardboard wall to watch you both keep bumping into.

Besides getting to know some great future Brothers and Sisters on here when it comes to you two it's a game to me. It's a fun diversion to the daily monotony to watch the little rodents scamper.

Do you think I'm as bad as the kid with a magnifying glass frying those ants?

You do know that Weasels eat Rats right?

Why don't you just ask Bluto? I'm sure you could arrange another meeting with him in CLT... just PM him!

I never agreed to meet him, you are both lying. You directed him and 700 to no longer accept PMs from me (and have done so yourself).
