I'm still keeping my odds on an 83% yes vote. The discontented are always the most vocal on social media sites.
Too much Wampum on the table to pass up.
People are so apathetic they may simply assume it's going to pass and not even bother to turn out to vote ...

Meanwhile guys like Jimmy are so bitter that they WILL show up and vote ...

It would be sad to lose an election to laziness but it's a possibility.

This is not an "election"... it's a ratification vote!

Vote ! on 7/18/14  look forward and FIGHT ON ! SOLIDARITY ! 7/21/14. For those in their mid to late 50's . Retirement is our future. Yes ! We did get SCREWD ! but don't play the victim role because We all had choices . Fish On !

Too many people MUCH smarter than Tim have already batted their heads over and over trying to explain the medical letter to him. First of all that letter I'm 100% positive was written and approved of by the Lawyers that the IAM has on retainer to protect themselves and all of the members. On this page you have had current and former elected leaders who have been through negotiations and understand language trying to explain things to him that again either he's to DUMB to understand or has a motivation to shoot holes in things?

Now leaving out this dumb, stupid, idiotic argument over that medical letter, Tim is trying to float the extreme myth that your TA is cost negative? Holy Jeeves Batman, slap me in the face again. Please someone, anyone tell me where there is anything in that TA that goes against earning an extra $720.00 per month by Sep 2017 can be defined as subtracting from that to arrive at cost negative?

Someone find me anything in your TA that is a step backward that overrides ALL the improvements as a whole????

Yea Tim,we're all salivating at the prospect of a handful of Airbus freeloads.
Tim has to go after me because every time I refute his nonsense it's just one giant size 12 whacking him hard in his keester.

The only gloom and doom is the contract which I pasted.  Yes, it is gloom and doom and it has nothing to do with my opinion.  You might ought to try reading the contract for once instead of falling over your money grab.  This is a cost negative contract.
Everyone has read the term sheet changes, the US Fleet current CBA, and the ACA law that may come into effect in 2018.

Everyone that is except you.

You may want to reference USAir Flight #427 as to the reason why we don't have any more Boeing A/C in the USAirways livery. Might be a good idea to do some homework JFK

How does the tragic loss of 427 play into Nelson stating "We'll get to do US AIRWAYS work"?

Should I have said "A handful of freeloads" instead?

Might be a good idea to not draw assumptions that people in the industry are ignorant of tragedies that happen outside of their carrier.

427 had nothing to do with US not buying Boeing, it was when US lost the lawsuit to Boeing for canceling a bunch of 737s on order.

You do remember US took delivery of the 757s after 427 crash.

And Wolf got a better deal from Airbus.

They don't understand that a good size battle has just been won. The war of course always continues though. And even Baghdad wasn't taken overnight.

Your post is 100% correct, as is your insight and understanding of collective bargaining. Nelson is far outnumbered by voices of reason. Fortunately, we have guys like you, Charlie Brown, Prez, 700, Cargo, Mike33, PHXconx, and others that are willing to spend the time to refute irrational speculation, and political revenge agendas.

Consider this is a BIG  thanks to all that actually care enough to spend the time on here to set the record straight!

You haven't refuted anything because you can't.  I made it simple and pasted the language. You offered up your opinion that the IAM attorneys are solid and would surely make sure there are protections.  Not hardly, again, please use the language and show me the protections?   And stop blaming the attorneys, this was a deep concession offered up by the IAM negotiators in exchange for the wage bump.    As far as your money numbers, I have already agreed that my wage increase should cover the health care increases, but that's for topped out employees only.  Everyone else just got a few quarters, not a few dollars in increases.  And part timers have "Double or nothing" insurance so 2x for them with the blank check.

Again, instead of all of the "Tim Sucks",  "Tim is stupid",  "IAM has Top Attorneys",  please quote the language and let's further the discussion using the language.  Show me in the health care LOA where any member is protected?

You do know that ACA is on shifting sand as well, yes?  The Republicans are hot on it and if they get their way next week, they can dig against the state exchanges and cause even higher tax burdens on those who are in the ACA.

God only knows if they get to dig at other things in Obamacare.  Nobody knows what ACA will look like in 3.5 years.  We could be paying hundreds of dollars more in health care, and a high deductible will further erode any wage gains.

My sword stays up against management trying to get favorable language.  Everything else is my expressions that witness me as a no vote, brother.  I have a few questions that have gone unanswered to AGC's.  Hopefully, a clarification will come.  I fault nobody for voting yes.  And once the TA passes, my conversation will move forward just like it did in 2008 and not blame any rank and filer for how they voted.  But this ACA will be a big problem in 3.5 years and can't be rightfully discounted.
