It’s Aircraft Mechanics who have to ask themselves why the NMB refuses to list you as “skilled”?
One thing is for sure, you won't be listed as skilled labor in your life time or the next as a ramper Dippy Dave. I have read the reason for the unskilled labor catagory is because of the AFl-CIo and airline management wanting to keep us down in pay and make outsourcing easier.

One of our planes lands in Hawaii. Etops requirements are due and "oh by the way" a must do 8 day check just happens to be due. Can a provider do it?
A plane lands in Boise with a must do mv2. We have no mx facilities or mx employees in Boise. Can a provider do the check?
Juse trying to figure out what amfa''s bases for this complaint.

That's fine dude, for all the energy you expel beating up on poor rampers, that probably work harder than some mechanics. And anyone who doesn't tow the AMFA is never wrong, all industrial unions suck according to you. Do you even try to make a difference for all your years at American. Or did you fellow mechanics tell you to F off , because you didn't bring anything to the table, but complain.

It's not really much energy, I don't beat on rampers unless they ask for it, as many including myself are very very tired of the intrusions into our affairs, being called elitists, and worse. I would expect the same if I constantly waded into pilots or F/A issues. I have done quite a lot to try to get some AMT representation, many hours, many miles, many threats and targeting at work, as well as my own money. I didn't do enough or as much as some. The TWu has mostly failed us as AMTs. However I am backing the NC, they have to have a chance, until the chance is no more.

Some have told me to F Off, but like yourself, they are mostly worthless cowards who run at the first sign of trouble anyway. So no loss really.

It makes sense to back someone if they are making real progress, if they have no hope of success, and are beating their head against, a rock, because they were not smart enough to secure the scope language, and then just ask for ridiculous amounts of money. That's just stupid. And if someone that is driving the boat on the union side, and is just an asshole, and holding everything up forever , it accomplished nothing. I hope we both get a contract.Now we have a lawsuit without specific ETOPS language, at least I know this Hackman, your TWU is smart enough to have specific contract language. You go to court especially Federal court, with vague language, the judge will happily take your $150,000 dollars and toss you out on your ear.

Just read the Email the company sent out in all the maintenance Emails, using our very contract language they have every right where we don't have maintenance, plus we violated our own contract language by not filing a grievance first, and followed those procedures.I wonder whose brilliant idea it was to file this lawsuit.

The majority of Southwest AMT's are not similar to B737 driver in their views or opinions.
Frankly, he makes us all look bad though.
