WN Mechanics seek mediation

Sounds like you should have left American 16 years ago, and got on with SWA, UPS, or Fed Ex, heck with all your experience you would be a shoe in.But now you are just bitter.Fighting, fighting what, Airlines care about F/A and pilots, they don't care about ramp or maintenance. Tell me what was the last mechanics strike at American? If AMFA did what they did at Northwest, and everyone was replaced then what would say Hackboy, man they faught the fight! A decent union tries to work with the company, if they think they can win they fight, when they know they can't they settle.Our guys are drunk on their overtime, SWA knows this. All is we need is the F/A 's get their second contract why we sit here. Man imagine that, the TWU smarter than AMFA, that would be sweet. I leave you to your bitter self.
Take your own advise Nut Driver, peel off from SWA and the union you hate, and get on those wide body freighters at UPS. You could show 'em how it's done and get back as a Reamster Business Agent. Your a sniveling mud puddle wet mess waiting a paltry 5 years at SWA for your "pay raise". this with full benefits and nearly full industry leading pay, and you call me BITTER? It's no wonder the Reamsters got bounced out of SWA with your weak knee'd type of industrial unionism.

Then we have the same 'ol Northwest retread ad nauseam. So once again, the NWA management was to blame as we all know living in reality, the members had the balls to walk as the AMFA members voted to do. There was no other choice (well for some it was being a scab). I have friends that worked there, and so I know how it was. To say otherwise is cowardice and a cheap shot. But we all know that's how some low life's are in the gutter.

I like my company. I Hate someone dictating to me, when we can vote on something. And you know what stupid, I have people that worked at Northwest, and they hate AMFA, because it was suicide, so you go and wallow in your bitterness, how the TWU screwed you, and Parker.Northwest was set up to fail from the get go.I was never a business agent, just a Steward. And what we have is a dictatorship, that feeds money to a law firm.
 
I like the article and agree with a few of the comments. I just don't want any more Mechanics being fooled by AMFA. They sell it as a completely democratic and transparent union when it really is a dictatorship. A handful of union stewards telling the majority of the rank and file what they can and cant vote on and what they can and cannot see or know about. It's a huge joke. Then when they led everyone off the cliff they dropped us faster than you could blink an eye.

Get a clue. The membership controls this union, NOT a few stewards (as you state) when they are really titled as ALR's (get another clue) A typical teamster trying to do harm again. LMAO!!!
 
And AMFA is currently in the works of getting the AMT's listed with the NMB as skilled labor. No other union out there has or is trying to do the same, now why is that? Hmmmm.

An ALR is a lot more powerful than a steward. A steward is the same as an shop rep.Shows how much you know. Everyday goes by we lose, and you can say we don't. SWA is not going to give you full retro , when your union refused to bring something to it's membership to vote on. So however long this goes you worked for free.

“Working with”? What a lark of a comment. Look either the NMB does it or doesn’t do it. So far since they began categorizing they’ve chosen NOT to do it.

It’s Aircraft Mechanics who have to ask themselves why the NMB refuses to list you as “skilled”?

Don't waste your breath on Hackboy. He is just a Seham plant. Probably the little leprechaun himself! No one from AA would spend this much time on a Southwest thread on negotiations. They are trying to screw you guys just like they did us at NWA.

Well unlike yourself, I don't live in my knees like a weak knee'd moron and beg my union to bring back a concessionary T/A so I can vote "yes". I have never once voted "yes" for TWu concessions in my career. BTW, the TWu has a contract until 2018, it's a very poor one stuck in BK, but we have one. I want to a T/A worthy of my vote, not one to just to get me a pay raise at all costs. Sniveling about your 5 year delay under a fully intact contract, seeking justice with viable lawsuits, and paying professional attorney fighting for you isn't going to get the job done. You might need a new set of knee pads Nut Driver.
