That was a good/funny reply dell, seriously !

But what amazes me is that not one reply to a serious question, from a NON-Bashful group like the group that 'patrols here on the 'cooler, has arisen !

Hmmm.

Based on past practice, the threshold for getting SNAP cards and other benefits will continually increase in order to keep the Democrat base voting Democrat.

A better question might be will the middle class increase or disappear?

Yours is a good question....'sig.

To my way of thinking, the people who 'advance....due to middle class jobs,....are replaced (via a natural progression) of others in the lower class, to the 'spot vacated by the guy who cracked-into the middle class.  (and so on, and so on, and so on), therefore having less people eligible for assistance.

WJC signed welfare reform, and the country coincidently was crusin' right along economically.

Makes sense to me.

On day 8 the Obama signed it away.

There were plenty of reasons why President Obama’s $787 trillion economic stimulus bill, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, received no Republican votes in the House of Representatives.
But one rarely mentioned reason was tucked away in the more than 1,000 pages of crony capitalist spending -- a provision ending the work requirement for the food stamp program.

SNAP doubled in size during the past eight years.  30-hour per week "full time" jobs also dramatically increased.  Thanks Obama and Dems!

Eolesen is absolutely correct.

The ever-growing entitlement class will always require/demand more taxes from the middle-class workers who actually do some work....
