Wisconsin

Still waiting for a fact I sited to be shown incorrect. Just one.

Opinion piece only found on Alternet is now fact? Jeez Kev, i mean really now.

#2 in SAT scores is something to be proud of as well...
More liberal lies Kev.

I don't recall union busting being a specific part of Walker's platform at all.
Civil servant laws in WI already protect civil employees. This is nothing more then the union protecting the millions in union dues to use for political purposes.

Not an Op-ed piece. Still waiting for a discussion on the facts mentioned w/in the article.

It's quantifiable data from a neutral source(s). Feel free to look it up. What does your link to a list of colleges directly have to do w/WI's SAT performance, anyway?

You mentioned that Walker is reflecting the will of the WI voters. I noted that his camapign platform did not specifically include union-busting. The above quote from you doesn't address that. If you can find *definitive* statements from him that specifically promised dissolving collective bargaining rights for state employees, by all means post 'em up.

With references to Mother Jones and other liberal blogs? Thats supposed facts are nothing more then liberal leaning assumptions. Come on Kev, when your in a hole, stop digging.

Neutral like Alternet?

Yes he ran on platform of balancing the budget. The $$$ spent on public servants is included in that.

Let me guess on your solution to the problem? Raise taxes? Tax the rich? Getting warmer?

A lot of states are having the same issue and the liberals have no solutions except raising taxes in a recession and high unemployment. The only other solution would let the states go bankrupt, decimate the union contracts once and for all.

Problem solved.

Two-Thirds of Wisconsin Public-School 8th Graders Can’t Read Proficiently—Despite Highest Per Pupil Spending in Midwest

Department of Education in 2009—the latest year available—only 32 percent of Wisconsin public-school eighth graders earned a “proficient” rating while another 2 percent earned an “advanced” rating. The other 66 percent of Wisconsin public-school eighth graders earned ratings below “proficient,” including 44 percent who earned a rating of “basic” and 22 percent who earned a rating of “below basic.”

The test also showed that the reading abilities of Wisconsin public-school eighth graders had not improved at all between 1998 and 2009 despite a significant inflation-adjusted increase in the amount of money Wisconsin public schools spent per pupil each year.

 Ok, now this is just entertaining!

You're the one actually in the hole but don't even realize it, since you are the one refusing to source any claim you make or back it up with verifiable facts!

Keep going though! Ignorance is bliss and its obviously working for you, my ill-grammared friend! :D Keep making my arguement for me, I'll just sit back and much some popcorn as you become more and more nonsensical. :D

Your oppostion to what they contain does not make them "assumptive."

Neutral, as in not biased or partisan.

Yep, he sure did. And *nowhere* in any of those capaign speeches/debates/etc. was there explicit mention of the removal of collective bargaining rights. Again, if you can find one, feel free to post it. Should be easy, since you were the one that said that this "reflected the will of the voters."

A tyrannical power grab is not the solution, no matter how many right winged idealogues try to convince people that's the case.

You know its true Kev.

Actually, it's not. It's also still completely irrelevant to the discussion.

Anyways...how is a pending bill that needs to be voted on by both parties in WI considered "a tyrannical power grab".

Walker isn't interested in any alterations, debate, discourse, or any other sort of bipartisan discussion. He alleges it's a "budget issue," but even though the unions have agreed to his demands on pension and healthcare, he won't back off his stance of stripping their bargaining rights. If it was the fiscal issue he'd like WI (and America) to think it is, then the debate would be over already.

They don't need bargaining rights. They are already protected under the Civil Service laws in WI in place since 1905. The unions are spinning this as they need the dues for sheer political purposes only. Thats the way it has always been.
