For the CWA concessions, I can only hope that the union insists on leaving the "mainline express" (ME) people alone. They have given more than enough and are already paid lower than prevailing commuter standards. Yet most of them work 737/Airbus flights!

For CWA members who work in stations that have not been expressed (yet), please think twice before selling the smaller stations down the river this time.

Those of you who have been through it know the frustration of working harder or less pay. Yes, the work is harder. Unlike their big city folk brethren, they must be multifunctional (ATO, gate, baggage, and in some cases, ops. They must put up with the agony of the baby jets (w/bal problems) and the awful reliability of the express carriers (anyone have a performance stats for them?). Not to mention the revolving door of new hires.

If concessions must come, leave "ME" out of it.

Ah, is that voting place for IAM-F/S or IAM-M or both? If it's both.... there are gonna be some very upset people in IAM-M being put with lowly F/S people... even for a poll vote that doesn't mean anything... IAM-M only know F/S agents when they want our support! (...as in we are gonna walk, you will support us... right?)
RedOne, Where were YOU, Oct. 92 ?????? I was in Indy watching F/S pushing back airplanes during a strike...BTW, IAM-M does not exist anymore.

141M exists till Monday. And in 1992 Fleet Service were non-union and no choice but to do what the company told them as they were employees at will.

Unlike other (alpa) work groups who made sweet heart deals with US.

700, Seems RedOne STILL would have a hard time supporting mechanics TODAY, even though he's a IAM member now.. Oh, Thanks for letting me know I'm still represented by 141-M, [for 5 more days].

Don't always believe what posters say on here, some of them are not whay they say.

And this is a time to show strengh not weakness.

There are a lot of mechs who are not worthy of the support they have received from Red One.

Fleet was actively hindered in his local, every officer a mech.

They refused to offer education, funding, slots on committees, etc.

Yet Red One was ready to honor a mech picket line in 99 and again last year, and encouraged his fellow employees to do the same.

And FWIW, the man tried to organize PI agents back in the 70's.

The man has stones - show some respect.

You don't have to kiss IAM a$$ to be a good union brother.
