What's interesting is that this poll has been open for two days and only 75 people have voted and some of the voters are likely furloughed. These numbers are hardly representative of the rank-and-file sentiment.

That is a lie you make it sound like this poll been open 2 full days when really I opened it yesterday morning

Caught again you just can't tell the truth can you?

I am not furloughed! I won't vote for ALPO's continual eating their young contracts. Like somebody else said full pay to the last day. see ya!

I don't think that you can call that time frame two days, can you? A mere 26 hours had passed from the time usairways_vote_NO had posted the poll until you'd posted the two day claim. Additionally, what data can you provide to us to substantiate the unsound claim that "some of the voters are likely furloughed"? Drama, drama, drama. May I offer you another button to spin a new coat?

Management has hired a legal consultant from FORD AND HARRISON "When they roar...we pounce". He will be at AFA's table.

That will cost the company many NO votes.

There is no mangement culture change evident.

Mangement needs to change the reserve system to "seniority driven" and offer Early Outs for the senior folks.

This is the only way to possibly have a 50/50 chance.

It is in the best interest of managment to perserve the junior workforce and offer early outs to as many "top out senior folks" as possible. Otherwise majority of votes will be NO.

Please check PIT webpage tomorrow.

These non-scientific polls are silly and useless. :p There is no controlling authority or any way to make sure results are an accurate reflection of anything. What is the point????

Then leave! OMG....I watch these boards all the time. It just amazes me. This airline industry has changed sooooooooooo much in the last 3 years, and ITS ALWAYS THE SAME people that #### and moan on this site, you know who you are!. You dont represent the rank and file. I can swear on that. I see the same people post on here day and night. I swear to god, I feel that everytime you see youself post on here you feel like you are representing all of us.A majority of us know what is happening to our industry,a majority of us love our jobs, and a majority of us want to see us prosper. All this negative bickering and BS has got to end. I dont want to give up anything, but after being an employee with US since i was 19, studying the airline industry for 4 years in college, and witnessing the change since 9/11, Im gonna have an open ear what has to be said from management. Thats the mature thing to do. You may not like what has to be said, but we are all adults and we have to think with our minds, not our emotions! Remember something.....we are all at will employees...we dont have to stay here. There are greener pastures out there. If your life is so revolved around complaining about things at US, and posting here on this site, I think you need to get with it and move on!

"You dont represent the rank and file. I can swear on that. I see the same people post on here day and night."

Too bad you are dead wrong especially in my group, the IAM

"I swear to god"

Better be careful, that's calling on more power then you can imagine.

"All this negative bickering and BS has got to end."

The quickest way would be to turn off your computer.

"i was 19, studying the airline industry for 4 years in college"

Bad career move on your part doesn't mean it's everyone else’s fault.

"Im gonna have an open ear what has to be said from management. Thats the mature thing to do."

So then the IAM is immature not listening to KNOWN liars, not listening to people who want our jobs using political means to accomplish this treachery. Sure you are the mature one, or maybe you are the frightened one.

"There are greener pastures out there. If your life is so revolved around complaining about things at US, and posting here on this site, I think you need to get with it and move on!"

This applies to you as well sweetheart because coming on here bringing down hell fire will only burn you.

Trans,

Better have more than an open ear, pal. What's is expected of you is to open your wallet and empty out your pockets, ASAP. The business model is inefficient and the employees will have to subsidize the business plan to fit the model.

If these concessions go through, those who have any intelligence and logic about their "worth", will be bailing out. Not many can afford to go backwards (especially in today's times) financially. Folks need to plan for their future and their retirements and you won't be able to do that at U. All that a profit sharing check would give you in the future if U survives is some extra money to pay down your VISA. The only future I see for the employees of U is a road to personal bankruptcy.

You can love aviation, but be willing to be broke and enjoy commune living.

Transatlantic,

What are you waffling on about, and furthermore quoting me?

Someone mentioned that with concessions they could find a better paying job elsewhere, and I pointed out that thats the intention. You really dont think they are trying to retain the super-senior workforce do you? Of course not. They are hoping for cost savings from both the actual concessions and from people leaving as a result. Which would bring the seniority in line with other carriers. I'm sorry if this upsets you so much, I dont really see how its bitching and moaning?

Now please explain to me what your beef is with me? I've also been in the airline industry since I was 19, 18 in fact, whoop-de-do. I'm well aware of the changes in the industry and with US Airways (although I dont work there and havent in some time genius  ). I like to think my posts on here express an informed opinion mixing optimism, caution, and hopefully a little humour. And if you see the same stuff on here day and night, maybe you need to get a life!

As for "bickering and bs" I'm very polite until attacked for no reason (see above). Save the drama for your mama. Waaaaah

I would vote in the poll but I don't want to skew (sp.?) the results since I am on involuntary furlough. Myself, I have found a comfortable position with a large charter company in the meantime but I still have hopes (dwindling) that US Airways can pull it together someday. I would be willing to at least listen to the proposals and try to negotiate something better. A "NO" vote from all the labor groups is not likely to prove anything other than that our days are truly numbered.

I believe the company has to change more drastically and on many more levels than it has. Bleeding money away from the already zapped employee wage and benefit packages alone is not going to keep us flying. That was Dave's solution and it only bought a little time.

I don't enjoy being told, "vote yes or we will liquidate!" But knowing that management is not my friend and has no real concern over my well being, I have to look at it in a more cut and dry (for lack of a better phrase) way. Do I want to maybe have the option of coming back to a large and what I feel is a viable airline? YES. Do I want to do that if it means making the same money they make at America West or jetBlue? NO, not really. Do I realize that my options in this industry that I have loved for so long are increasingly limited? YES. Do I know for sure there are thousands of young, inexperienced people out there who are willing to work for low wages and crappy work rules and leave after a couple of years? YES. Do I know that Bronner knows this, too. YES.

There will have to be more cuts. I hope management stops swinging their *icks around so much though and at least acknowledges that they need to feel some pain, as well. The whole situation sucks but if we are going to make it, I feel that we have to be more realistic with ourselves and our precarious position.

That's how I feel today, anyway. Good luck everyone! Hope to see you all again someday! (Okay, well not all of you but most of you. :p )

The voting is pretty interesting on this poll. Some say it doesn't mean anything maybe it doesn't but looking at the results most groups voted the same a big fat NO more. Except the pilot group who have more to lose financially.

ALPA 50% split

AFA 64% No

IAM 66% No

CWA 64.5% No

Total 106 = 63% No

Margin of error 100%

With the airbus issue I would have thought No's would have been higher for IAM but that includes rampers and cleaners?

With all due respect, with only 110 people voting and the majority of the message board posters people with negative sentiment, I believe this poll has very little relevance from a statistical perspective.
