Since we are now a socialist country, maybe we will be better off unemployed? (Joke)

No joke. The US has always been socialized, to some extent.

Public Education and religion are two areas that have been socialized. Nowadays it is the rich.

Shame , Shame Freedom, 1.5 years ago you were worried about the inflight magazine and now you are here finally realizing the ship is going down????
You never cease to amaze me.

if you reread my old posts you'll see that 1.5 years ago i did allude to the fact that we could be facing economic diaster around 2009 ... it's in the old IAM posts , feel free to recheck ...

and i've only been crying the "sky is falling the sky is falling " for the last 6 months , as O man is so fond of calling it ...

As far as "this ship " what ship do you refer to , our company US AIRWAYS , or do you refer to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA , because my friend , THAT'S the ship that's going down , and we're all on deck now ..

I think we will be around for a while too. We've been through so much already. I didn't think we would make it this long especially with the bankruptcies and the way things were a couple of years ago but now things are getting better for us since we have more on time departures/arrivals and we aren't having as many problems with losing bags. If we could make it through that, we can make it through this economic crisis. I'm not saying US will be around forever that would be stupid but I don't think the current economic recession will kill us either.

Good point. And to seal the deal just vote for OBAMA! But hey I guess that is a given for most posters on this board.

AFA CWA sent the flight attendants a glossy 8-10 page advertisement endorsing Obama.
I don't appreciate my Union dues being spent in this manner.
Nor do I appreciate AFA CWA sending emails suggesting I support the candidate they would have me endorse.

I understand your concern but this is pretty much standard operating procedure for unions. But I like the way you said they "suggested" you vote for Obama. More like a mandate from their prospective.

Be careful what you say. This isn't a mandate.

And since you are not a union member...do not spout what may or not may be standard union procedures.

Obama is being endorsed becaused he is not anti-union. As well as a number of other things. That are near and dear to most working/blue collar workers.

Union PAC's are allowed and this is what they do. And they are always working in the best interest of their members.

Angry much?
Always working in the best interest of their members. . .. I guess you bought it hook line and sinker.

BTW, I, like yourself can speak (or in your case maybe spout is a better term) anything I want. Thank goodness my rights are protected as we haven't gone commie or socialist just yet!

Perhaps you don't realize your rights are not as protected as you think... the present administration has seen to that. Not to mention that the rights of workers have been decimated as well. Furthermore, to recognize what has happened to "main street", and want to improve our human condition is not socialist or commie- it is progressive, moral, and ethical.

Now I almost choked on my tea when I read the part about "progressive, moral, and ethical." It would be truly comical if it wasn't so sad. .

Do you actually believe that Mr. Obama tis moral and ethical? Can you say ACORN. . . can you say Ayres. Cam you say Rev. Wright??? Oh my gosh. Barack Obama is the antithesis of moral and ethical. . .
