When US goes under in two weeks, will HP get the gates at LAX, or will it be a fight with WN for those gates?

what if us doesnt go under in two weeks? what will you do if they survive--get mad? you bother me with those when us folds because i work for usair
 
I know HP is working on getting more gates at LAX. What I don't know if that potentially involves the US gates or some other arrangement.

As an aside, I don't see why the personal attacks are necessary (in this and the other thread). Though AA191 could be a bit more sensitive, but I don't see him necessarily taking joy in that prospect.

And there, undeniably, is a high probability that US indeed will not be in business much longer. It's unfortunate for all the good people at US, but still true. I, for one, would like to see US make it, but I admit I will be surprised if that happens.
 
I don't think anyone here is cheering for the ultimate demise of US, definitely not me. I would think though, that IF there should be a failure of US that WN, IF they have first rights, will take the 3 or 4 gates that US uses in T1 and may even go so far as to pay for AWA to move to T3. Just my thoughts...........

Coolflyingfool - I agree. I work in Business Aviation with private jet aircraft. I don't want to see US go under, but I also dislike Terminal 1 at LAX and wish that HP would move out of there as I use them very frequently. Just because I am not in the airlines, I still use the airlines as I am not always fortunate enough to fly privately. Interesting point, we have recently hired some US pilots that were able to escape beofre it all falls apart.
 
I like terminal 1. Its close to the planes, its not a confusing maze like terminal 6, and its not grossly outdated like terminal 1 or 2.

I fly through T1 and the Bradley terminal all the time, while LAX is usually a royal pain in the ass, having a terminal at the end of the runway is nice.

No , I will NOT!! If you post something about my company on the AWA board, you are fair game, so if YOU can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. You are obviously an AWA supporter, so it still stands. Look at the airline whose thread you are writing on and do your homework before making stupid statements about other carriers. :down:

I AGREE. HEY DUDE, GET READY TO DIG INTO YOUR SORRY AA WALLET TO PAY UP FOR YOUR CONCESSIONS WHEN IT COMES TIME..U MAY BE GOING AWAY BUT WN/FL/AIR TRAN WILL STILL BE IN MAJORITY OF AA MARKETS UNDERCUTTING THE FARES..YOUR TURN IS RAPIDLY COMING..CORPORATE HAND WILL BE OUT
 
Well, how long ago was it that US Airways was supposed to move over to T7/8 with UAL and out of T1 anyways? It seems I recall reading posts on these forums suggesting that this was supposed to happen long before now...
 
There are some issues concerning space for a bag room and a bag belt. The city has written a check that it's butt hasn't cashed yet. I have also heard that UA is not exactly the easiest codeshare partner to deal with. They like things to be on their own terms when a move of such is advantageous to them.
