Do not forget the TWU gets nothing from your profit sharing check,
since your monthly dues are based on your hourly wage, guess who
also got a raise? A profit sharing plan can be a great way a company
can reward its employees and show appreciation for all they do, especially
when they are working under concessionary contracts. it should never have
been included in contracts just like healthcare plans, its a way a company
can prove it appreciates you. At AA it is just a tool to create animosity between
the work groups, I understand a guaranteed amount in a paycheck is smart
but tell that to the guy who reads in the paper of profit sharing checks handed
out, those few extra bucks each week in his paycheck don't seem so smart.
