Where's the damage?

I have gone over the combined list time and time again and i can't seem to find where the east got damaged in any way. Now granted, some of you did work for a company for many years and feel ENTITLED to something. I can't help but to see that you have people on furlough with 18yrs of service. Oh wait it can't be 18 YEARS OF SERVICE because for the last six years they have been unemployed!! Why??? Ok so 12 years of service and you are on the bottom of your OWN AAA SENIORITY LIST. Now AWA saves you, (call a spade a spade) and we come together. You expect to move to the top of the list while basically stapleing 2/3's of our pilots to the bottom. I ask you in all honestly, do you really think that's fair????????????

If you were on the bottom before you are on the bottom now. RATIOS thats how it works and it was more than fair in fact if any group got a windfall it was YOU. The top 517 gets DOH. We bring new money and announce new wide body flying and who gets all that?? The east. Our pass travel has been destroyed, a violation of our current contract for WHO?? The east. You guys have gotton windfall after windfall yet you always want more. Only one word to describe you SELFISH...

One windfall doesn't selfish make. Outside of the widebody issue that was decided by the arbitrator, our only windfall is the pass travel. That is not much of a windfall considering the company basically has matched capacity with demand and you can barely get on a flight ...period. So you're gonna have to do better than that, pal.

Having said that, I do think we as humans are reactionist. When the majorirty of pilots actually read the statement and beat their hands on their chest, they will be ok.

As far as entitled is concerned, I find that interesting coming from an industry that farts by senority but poo poo's a group for fighting for the same thing you LIVE by. Why have senority as a basis of anything?

I think the East guys are overreacting but the constant BS from guys like you that love to use words like entitled is soooooooo TIRED!! Give it a rest!

AWA didn't save no one, they both saved each other temporarily. Only that Easts' concessions made it possible to carry a profit. But the way Tempe is running thing, I don't think anyone will have to worry about seniority for too long. AWA's product method will not work in the east, they attempted before, remember CMH? It shouldn't be E vs W, it should be ALL vs Tempe. They are the ones screwing up. The East people been thru alot.

The Widebodies AWA ever will see is some of their FA's, and East to. HP didn't have Widebodies prior to the merger, except those 747's that HP had before. But that's going back over 15 years. The west 757's barely make Hawaii, if they aren't breaking down. But it should be all put on Tempe, they are the ones screwing the employees and passengers. It shouldn't be employee group vs employee group. It should be employees and passengers vs Tempe.

Admiting you have a problem is the first step in recovery!!! How can you even look youself in the mirror with a statement like that?? The east was dead and awaiting burial when we and Air Canada came along! Employees furloughed for six years and some still furloughed with absolutly NO HOPE OF EVER RETURNING!!! It was us who saved you and there is no two ways about it.

I said it before and I will say it again you were the SECOND CHOICE not the first!!! We wanted ATA and the Midway slots not you.

I couldn't agree more with you in the fact that tempe is the real enemy not the pilot groups. Now you got what it's gonna take to make them pay us???

I am unsure why anyone agreed to binding arbitration in a matter as important as this. :unsure:
 
I have an honest question for the "East" pilots. Where would you have placed a furloughed 18 yr pilot? At 18 years seniority?
Was DOH a legitmate desire by the entire East group or was it simply being advocated by a few?

Yes I am and I don't see the point you are attempting to make.

That is a question you need to ask them. We made several attempts to work this outside of a third party yet they flat out refused. They held fast to an unreasonable position based on a complete lack of fairness. They were even given the opportunity to change their position and invited back before the panel in late Feb. The AWA committee moved even further to show fairness yet they come back with the same unreasonable position. The decision comes out and because it's not exactally what they want, they make threats, insults and more unreasonable demands. So I think you need to ask them that question.

I see it threw the eyes of a Frequent Flyer, a customer. Something Tempe doesn't recognize too well.

HP didn't buy US! Its called Merger. Look the definition of "MERGER" up in Webster's then you may have a clue. Oh it wasn't HP that bailed out US. AC and Airbus helped, and it was US that secured the finances upon completing the Merger when they came out of Bankruptcy. US had a superior product to what HP had to offer. I am not saying the Best product, but it was superior to what HP offered. (How did HP do with its CMH Operation?)

That is Tempe's attitude, Tempe doesn't want customers, they want the Munsters, Clampetts, Andy Taylor and Opie. And the Petticoat Junction and Green Acres gangs.

That is the way to go about it, I can stand here and write day in and day out the differences between US and HP, but what does that solve, absolutely nothing. Just makes the ALL the US employees bicker amongst themselves. As long as You, The entire employees groups keep doing that, Tempe is just smiling their butts to the bank. The only advice that I will offer, unite and fight. Tempe should be the opponent, not each other.

Pure, unabashed revisionist history garbage. AWA spent not one dime to acquire anybody. They had no money to spend. The USAirways name survived, and AWA senior management (with a couple of EAST additions) survived. That's what happened.

Ask Doug if a change in control occured.

When it opens, I'm there. I can definitely hold it, maybe even number ONE any airplane in the base.

And there are about 150 or 200 others I know that are ready to fly with you "Senior" West Guys and Gals. Looking forward to it, actually.

That's about the only good thing that came with the award. No fences on bases or equipment , except the East Widebody for 4 years. But that will probably disappear when Age 60 does,per the award.
