So is the CWA buyout going to happen or not. Is this rumor about Lakefield saying in CLT , that there is no money for a buyout true, or just a rumor. We have agents here in my city , that have already taken other full time jobs, and are still full time customer service agents at Usairways. They are swaping off their shifts 3 days a week, working 7 days a week on both jobs, until the buyout is offered. I guess the 20 swaps per quarter does not apply to CSS's. What a guy will do for 15K and free lifetime travel.

I agree. It's sad that there is no comment from the union or the company. Those of us in res on waiting on the buy-out info, plus we are waiting on the office closure decision too.

Maybe that's why we are having such huge sales? Trying to come up with enough money to cover the thousands of people just waiting to bail out!

Yes...As part of the agreement to get the yes votes needed to pass this massive concession agreement...It included a "buy out" and "reservation center closing" as part of the agreement...I think we will hear something very soon...They have already have started paying the lower wages....

Its time to follow thru on the companys end of this agreement or I believe the agreement is null and void and we should go back to the previous wage scales and benefits ......

The baggage center closing was announced and jobs will be outsourced there, too...
