Where Is Wardo?

I just read that Ward has not been in the office for two weeks. (Mikey - I guess they did look under his desk). Is he out looking for another job? He sure doesn't want to work the workrules that he has put 25,000 other people in. Maybe he will do it as the only thing- because he can't find another job. My theory is: He is saying "to hell with the membership - I am getting out of here!" I guess we will see in the next few weeks.

I also heard that he may not be at the BOD on the 25th. Does this guy ever work?

I find it absolutely amazing that this guy can give away so much of your career, not work at headquarters for two weeks, not be anywhere in sight - and not show for the most important meeting. However he does have a union credit card, and gets $90,000 salary.

Where is the money coming from - when the DOL sues because Ward will not release his position? Expect that money to come from your dues - forget trying to rebuild your career or workrules.

Liveinahotel - you said
"He is digging a "spider hole" to hide himself from the membership!!"

You meant a "RAT hole" - right?

Here is a scary laugh for you. One of my friends flying domestic has been stuck hooking up with DFW crews.

She is being verbally harassed by these people because she is Miami. One girl was actually in tears going on about how Tommie was going to come in and bring back all the TWAAers and take her seniority. She told my friend if Tommie goes in on the 25th she is quitting rather than face this.

Its tragic but utterly laughable. I don't know whether to feel sorry for her because she believes the ranting and lies of an idiot, or feel sorry because she is that stupid and uninformed. My friend she said it best. " Ah yea, so your senior to me right? Well, will miss ya, don't let the door hit you in the A$$ on the way out."

I am starting to think there is a little to much twang in thar accent, fur ther urn good.

<_< O.K. Milky! Just for the record! What do you feel Tommy should do, if anything, about the ex-TWA F/a's????Signed:" Just another one of a.a.'s red headed stepchildren!"

I dont know that there is a lot she can do. One thing she did promise is that she would work to secure unlimited recall rights to ALL furloughed f/a's. That goes a long way in making 100% sure that anyone AA or ex TWA has the right to come back to AA before they can hire ooff the street.

I hope everyone can comeback to the line and that includes all former TWA. I don't think AA will open the 5 year recall agreement to renegotiate it for unlimited recall rights. AA wants the former TWA f/a's gone for good along with their top pay. They want to hire newbies off the street and pay them 1st year pay. It's cheaper for the company to do this.

Like I have said before, why do you think AA is know as the Sky nAAzis!

I disagree, I think Tommie will find a way. I think it is in AA's best interest to do that. Yes, someone who was ex TWA will cost a bit more. But they are well worth it. There is a work ethic that come from a generation past. Here is a group like yourself with a career in serving others. Doing it not for the glory or the money. Its something that you do because you enjoy it, you love it. That doesn't exist in the kids out there today. I am amazed at some of my younger colleagues. Who are so jaded and lazy.

I am thrilled to be flying Europe next month. I love flying with the SR ladies. Never a dull moment, never trying to get out of doing the required service, Actually getting up and answering call lights.

Mikey,

I can see that scenario so vividly it's frightening (along with Wayne's post on another thread regarding "John Ward needs your help!") Wayne, that was completely hilarious, BTW.

The "so you're senior to me, right? Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out" is SUCH a Miami attitude! Don't make me all sentimental and Sh*t!

I've been following your 4m activities, you are holding your own...sorry, the cuff is on my arm...I broke out the IMK.

They (4m) want to go on-and-on about the TWA vote. I posted that DFW/IDF can also swing a vote...in ignorance, IMO.

My point was that NYC/MIA (DOM and INTL) are so similar we conceivably have the power to swing-the-vote. If you add up the numbers, LGA/MIA barely touch DFW but we are quite formidable (it's less than a 400 vote difference). On INTL, a block of JFK/IMA CRUSHES IDF. Actually, both INTL bases SEPARATELY outnumber IDF. By 46 or 307...depending on the base. JFK could control INTL if they all voted. I don't understand why INTL/DOM voted 2 opposite ways at some bases. Please shed some light on this if you can.

I don't care to have DFW/IDF make decisions about my work conditions.

Other issues, the slackers are well known to be from my seniority-range. The last great hiring blitz was late 1997-2001 (furloughees). By late 99, I think, the company realized that the attrition level among new-hires was quite high. They lowered their standards accordingly. Free-market economy, right? Or are the free-market folks among us expecting 1970's service at 2000's prices? It doesn't work that way.

When you can actually fly on an airplane for less $$$ than a bus ticket, there is a problem.

I try to stay away from the 4M because as you know. Its the same jw RAH RAH crap as always. I about crapped my pants reading a post by jw, Siamese twin Jay (I wont even say where and how I believe them to be connected) but jw secured our future with the best contract ever. HA built on Denise's negotiations. For anyone in the know about jw he could negotiate his way out of jays, Hmmm side tracked again. Well, you all know. Everyone forgets though to mention that when he was up to bat and depending on Laura to do the work. We have a contract that gave away more than he saw while in office and the last four administrations.

Too funny Mike...That Jay...that (deleted by mod) a real piece of...ahum..."work." He takes himself waay too seriously. We all wonder on MF when he actually works. He's like a car wreck you just can't pass without looking at.

I would love to hear your sidetracked theory on where these womb-mates were actually connected! lol
