Where is glasswhere on East A/C?

Offering glassware and china in First Class/ Premium or whatever you want to call it IS Simply expected. US has been down this road far too many times over the years (offer glassware, shelf it, Go Plastic, etc) Regardless, if we plan on offering a "Premium Product" we need to take the appropriate steps. Years ago, I had the opportunity to work on the development of new china and glassware.....there are many obstacles that always ALTER the original plans....Cost, space requirements, manufacturing (last design was made off shore and required almost 6months lead time). One of the most mind boggling issues was the COST, to pack/deliver/remove/wash/repack the cycle for EVERY flight....the charges incurred for this service was incredible. Don't get me wrong, I WANT Glassware too and I hope this New Mangmnt has every intention of offering a RESPECTABLE Product.

So when we hear that the glassware is comming.....Yeah from where? Air dropped from a passing cargo plane over PHL or CLT? I don't think it really takes that long. Get it moving already.....The west has the Flag log on their glasses now. Hey one BIG question, "do you guys still have the mug over there for coffee or is it back to cup and saucer"? I LOOOOOVE that mug for coffee. We got a cart ages ago on our a/c in f/c that was all HP stuff. Were talking when the 757 still went to PHX. I hope we keep that mug.

Metal knives are allowed. NW uses them. Just last night on the MSP-DCA dinner flight, there were two metal forks and one metal knife.

Just had ‘em on MSP-EWR (along with glassware and a pre-dep drink).

I bet I’ll have them on my KLM flight, too.

You don't have glassware on long hauls on the East side?...on the West side we have always had glassware on long hauls...just did BOSLAS yesterday and had US logo rock glasses, wine glasses....and also had coffee mugs...suprised East doesn't have it yet....also since we are one airline why do we do differant services domestically....pax will be confused....we still serve drinks with big plastic cups in coach(and can on long hauls with BOB service)...also why is West still doing a full beverage service on short flts?....was just on East PHXLAS and your xpress service had coke,diet coke, sprite and water...we on the West still do a full service with liguor on that flt.....so a pax on same airline, same city pair will get a diffrent beverage service...
