Get real,

The IAM gave the company several ways to accomplish the work inhouse, instead the company chose to ignore it and violate the contract anyhow.

Lets outsource your pilot's job to MESA and see how you like it.

Guess you have not followed the outsourcing dispute otherwise you would have posted facts and not your opinion.
 
Let's just pack the whole damn thing in then 700UW. You want status quo. The company can't survive status quo. So let's just plant our feet and tell them NO. The IAM showed the company where to do it, but never got around to "how" they would do it better and with more effeciency. ALPA does the same thing. Our sick leave is perfect example. We had some abusers out there that ALPA protected and now I am penalized for it. We run higher reserves than any other carrier. Why...featherbedding plain and simple. IAM is no different. Time for this whole company to GET REAL or let's just head off to the unemployment line. By the way, you won't see Dave there. He will have his and YOU won't.

Oh god, i'd give my left arm for A320 to be outsourced down to the right seat, or even better, onto the street.

Guys like him dont know what its like to lose their jobs. They're in the comfortable "just senior enough" spot where they won't have to adjust their lifestyle -- they wont have to move out of their comfortable Cranberry homes. They won't have to uproot their families and move to other cities. They're willing to condemn their co-workers to the unemployment line in a desperate effort to make it to retirement without having to put on another uniform or, god forbid, sit in the right seat again.

If he could, for just a moment, get his head out of Dave's dark-place just long enough to realize that EMPLOYEE COST is only PART of the equation, and that revenue must be addressed, I would be shocked.

Even Stephen Wolf -- A320s EXboyfriend -- said it was impossible to downsize to profitability.

I have never met anyone who i'd rather see in the right seat of a Mesa RJ. Sadly, he's just senior enough to hold court on internet message boards and never feel the impact of his suggestions. Featherbedding indeed. 1800+ furloughs and the elimination of earned retirement isn't featherbedding -- its massive outsourcing and career devistation.

Hopefully after the "UCT" he'll end up in the right seat at the surviving company (at the very least) and some Captain will treat him the way he wants to treat all of us -- like an insignificant peasant simply wasting the company's money.

Were you in the room when the IAM leadership presented the options of how to do the work inhouse like our contract reads? Gave the company specifics of how WE can do it better and more efficent.

If the IAM gave up the right to overhaul our planes it would layoff thousands of mechanic and related and gut the meat of our work from us, ain't gonna happen.

You related to A320Pilot? You certainly sound like him!

How is your pension? I still have mine!

Lets outsource all Airbus flying to Mesa so we can get rid of the highest labor costs this company has.

And I certainly hope you don't end up nose first into the ground because of the lack of oversite and safety at ST@MAE, A/C 700 proved the type of work they produce.

WOW talk about stomach, this shows NO stomach. These people come here and reap havoc on every single work group, leaving lives ruined in their destructive wake, then do it again!! And, if that's not enough trying to do it yet AGAIN, and then we have guys like this who will roll over because they believe it will save their insecure behinds and in the process throw away any and all self respect and pride and plain grit. Take a ton of people like this and we are in BIG trouble if this country is ever seriously threatened where citizens are called to arms. Would have lasted half a day in the wild west with this attitude.
 
Its sad some of you dont direct this anger at the right people..... Our real enemy Southwest jet blue and others.
