The same way one enjoys a whole cooked Elephant......one bite at a time.
Especially if it's grilled and not boiled!

Of his 421 bills he sponsored, here is the one that made into law. 417 of them never made it out of committee.Especially if it's grilled and not boiled!
10/19/2009--Public Law. (This measure has not been amended since it was reported to the House on September 8, 2009. The summary of that version is repeated here.) Directs the Administrator of General Services (GSA) to offer to convey to the Galveston Historical Foundation the parcel of federal real property located at 502 20th Street in Galveston, Texas, including improvements. Requires the Galveston Historical Foundation to pay to the Administrator, as consideration for the conveyance of the parcel, the fair market value of such parcel, based upon an appraisal that is acceptable to the Administrator. Makes the Galveston Historical Foundation responsible for the costs of the appraisal and for all other costs related to such conveyance. Requires the deposit of any proceeds received as consideration as described above into the Federal Buildings Fund. Makes amounts in such Fund available for expenditure for any lawful purpose, with the Administrator providing to specified congressional committees 30 days advance written notice of any such expenditure.
Oh his 421 bills he sponsored, here is the one that made into law. 417 of them never made it out of committee.
Quite an impressive record. I'm sure he would much more effective having to work with 2 political parties at once.
The 'present' vote IIRC was only used about 3% of the times he voted and was a political tool used by many in the IL state legislature. It can be used to duck a sensitive issue or to indicate lack of support for a particular part of a bill that you may other wise support.
Three percent seems a bit better than 99%. Just saying.
Well he sure does a lot of quacking while Ducking the issue.
Ron Paul had the courage to put bills on the house floor that he knew have no chance. His goal was to educate and if possible get lucky now and then. Some of those bills sought to
Repeal the Patriot Act
Audit the Fed
Abolish the TSA
Funny thing is now after 30 Years his message is resonating with far more than the Lunatic fringe. They couldn't make the racist charge stick so now it's this piece of Progressive/Elitist garbage, like somehow having the courage of your convictions to put something like 621 bill before congress and have none of them pass except one is somehow a bad thing.
Integrity is what you do when no one is looking and for most of those 30 years nobody was looking yet he stayed true to who he was and is. This resonates with many people. Maybe enough to win in Iowa, but it looks like the Chicago style fix is in already. But we shall see. In a few short hours Dr Paul's Campaign will be off to New Hampshire to do battle with the Political Parasite Class there.
May we remain positive and stay on message
May we hold our tongues in the face of withering smears
May the energy and strength of Dr Paul continue to excite & energize us
Give us the strength to knock on one more door
Give us the strength to make one more phone call
Donate yet another $10.00 to the cause
Our Children and Grandchildren are counting on us
Above all give us the will to stay in the arena
To fail or prevail while daring greatly
Give us the strength to fight the good fight
So help us God.
Truth is Treason in an Empire of lies.
I see what you are saying. However if past achievements are any indication of future accomplishments, there's reason for concern about his qualifications. Ideology is one thing. Accomplishments is something altogether different. It is troubling to see how democrats are now gaming the system in favor of Ron Paul, just to affect a certain outcome.
Where were these patriots when Obama was in the run?
What if Ron Paul doesn't win Iowa?
I feel bad for Romney and Paul. They must be in their hotel rooms with their staff looking at each other asking WTF happened? How the heck does does that mental midget win anything?
