what are we asking for?

Do you have a DEMAND that if the itch is not scratched you could never be satisfied? I'm wondering what you "as an individual" would deem passes your smell test?
STFU WEASEL! I would demand all of what Metalmover said is a good start and more like a real COLA indexed to inflation night shift premium as a percentage let's start at 10% while we are dreaming also pay should be at UPS rates and definitely more vacation time. I could go on and on but seriously you're not worth my time go crawl back in your hole or just re-insert your head I'm sure you know where. And please if you ever come through SFO let me know I'll by you a cup of coffee and berate you some more.

That's not dreaming, that's a good start to the "must have" list. Anything less than what you've listed should be D.O.A.

Costco has unions.
Educate me. Please tell me about the unions of Costco. Who are they and what products are from union workers?

WOW!!!  Just reading this thread is an exact example of what you guys will get with this association.  2 sides that cannot agree on anything.  Good luck to you all, but you guys could of had a vote. Now you do not get a vote.  I blame the membership as a whole, as they new what was at hand, to get a vote the membership had to bring in enough cards from the AMFA drive to trigger a vote, and the membership did not do that.  You now get to be represented by the 2 worst unions in the industry that cannot agree on anything...

I'd probably be a little more worried about my own representation or the pace of negotiations at my own carrier if I was you? I think the fervor you showed for trying to get these guys into your group is only to hide maybe a fear that you may need there help in the future? At least that's my opinion?

Our representation is just fine. Still making good money with good work rules.
We have complete transparency with our negotiations so we don't need to worry about what deals are being made behind closed doors and we understand completely why the pace is what it is. Nobody is worried here.
And if you were me, you would enjoy payday and you wouldn't be worried either.

Our company wants language concessions for pay increases and bonus gimmicks.
We are not buying into there schemes.

What kind of help do you think we want or need from AA mechanics?
Just because SWAMT and I would like to see AMFA at AA, doesn't mean a majority of WN or ALK mechanics do, and I don't need their help.

WNMECH and swamt,
Don't need us? We all need each other to support all AMTs getting what's right. Are you saying we should not be unified in the goal of improving our stature as AMTs? Just because we are in different unions we should still support each others bargaining efforts.

No sh*t you finally got it!!!!  Except your beloved TWu welcomed former NWA scabs in and assisted with the IAm who helped the scabs break the strike at NWA. It will never be forgotten, because it brought the whole industry down and weakened unionism on a whole.

Now your saying we all should support each other?

Your a blithering TWu idiot......

Your a funny guy, the only decent contract in my 27 years at AA came on the coat tails
of the Northwest contract that AMFA negotiated for its members. We all benefited from
it, then when our fellow union brothers the same ones who negotiated it needed to
defend it, the big industrial unions turned their backs on our fellow union brothers.
Now that the Southwest AMFA guys are negotiating themselves an industry leading contract
(we all know it will be) & if the rumors are true that AA's maintenance program is going
in the direction of Southwests & we should then see a similar deal you want to be a
union brother to them.  Guys like you are a joke, you come on here spewing your Association
and TWU lies and you expect anyone to take you serious.
